Great hardwoods hunt. My favorite time of year and favorite habitat to hunt eastern birds. Ohio is special in late season. Your hunt illustrates all the thrills of chasing gobblers late season.

Beautiful turkey and what a hunt. The frustration of going to a place that has held turkeys for years and find that it’s been cut & then neglected to the point of being a thicket is common from the US Forest Service where I live. Huge tracts of forest are being cut, mostly select cut, and just ignored afterwards. I believe that it’s one of several reasons that our turkey population has plummeted. If they would follow up with burning it would be fantastic habitat, but they don’t. USFS is in the tree selling business and that’s about it.

I thought that ol hen had busted you there for a second when she turned to face you and started towards for a couple steps! Great video man!! That big boy looked like he had some hooks on him!! Got my River Bottom Romance call out of the refrigerator this afternoon and starting practicing for the Ga opened March 30th! Love that call! I got 2 nice birds with it last year and called in several more for my fam and friends to shoot at and miss! Lol

@@Hogmister11 Won’t be intruding on me at all my friend. Im happy to see other people knock one over. Well, you don’t have to sleep in your truck if you get down to Ga around Morgan County on the Eastern side of Ga. I have a house there you can stay at will comfy beds, great bass fishing lake, and plenty of rooms. I also have a place on the western side of Ga straight out I-20 to but it don’t have the fun stuff at it. Lots of turkeys around it but it’s just a farm house sorta speak but it’s clean and bug free! I slept in my truck in Lewis County, Ky deer hunting for a few days one time because my camper had some issues on the way up and was getting fixed SO I KNOW SLEEPING IN THE TRUCK SUCKS!!! Lol Won’t cost ya nothing

It’s a beretta 12 gage NWTF series A300 .. that’s a tru glo scope but switched to a Burris fast fire and on this day I was shooting long beards #5 … not sure of the choke.. I think it’s a tru glo.. bought the gun at a pawn shop few years ago.

Great hunt! Respect to the landowner for the hospitality. Congrats on a nice bird. Just FYI, it’s illegal on Ohio public land to cut down or trim live trees or branches. Might save you some trouble in the future.
