I started to crochet with the sole goal of making my son a Fox for his second Christmas. Chose this pattern and just finished it! As a beginner who made some other easy things (keychains, table runner, scarf) to learn the stitches and such I needed to be able to do this, I can say it’s easy to follow and doable for a newbie. It came out so good!! I stitched the eyes instead of using safety eyes due to my sons age and it still looks super cute. I will say if anyone who is new to crocheting reads this comment - this was my first time using fluffy yarn and my tension was wayyyy off the first time I attempted to do the legs. When I stuffed I could see how unintentionally loose I was crocheting when I’m normally a tight crocheter so just be on the look out for that! I will definitely purchase more of your patterns
As an absolute crochet beginner, this is incredibly easy to follow along. I'm currently using this tutorial as the base of a grey and white wolf.

Thank you!! I made this using a 4,5mm hook and ”happy chunky fine” yarn from hobbii and used 62g of the orange and 22g of the white! It turned out about 23cm tall!

To anybody wondering how much yarn was used:
"Size: 30cm/ 12 inch tall (including ears), depending on materials used. Yarn suggested: Super chunky plush yarn such as Hobbii Baby Snuggle - most of a 100g skein is used for main colour.

I cant seem to get this. I managed to get to the 1st 6 single stitches and to tighten but it dosent tighten properly im sure it's something im doing wrong but not sure what im a complete beginner

I’m a little confused on crochet hook size. I have a hook labeled US G/6 that is 4.25 mm & then another hook labeled US G - 4.0 mm but you said US G / 4.5 mm. What mm size are you using?
Different brands have slightly different sizing. 4.25mm or 4.5mm would work!

Your not asking me this question and it’s 2023 but I used one skein with lots left over I used bernat size 6 yarn its a big skein
I need help I’m on round 14 and I should have 12 stitches at the end of that round and I ended on a decrease but you do not you end on a sc but combine the last stitch with the new round did I do something wrong ? Please help I’m making this for my son who has a learning disability and really loves foxes I have adhd myself and I’m just so lost.
I don't know if this will help but when my stitch count if off by one, i add an increase or a decrease at the end. In your case i'd add a stitch in the same stitch as your last decrease. It's quite common for fiber artists to do that. When it's off by more than one stitch i would usually start the row over.

This hook looks so small for a super chunky yarn.
I dont understand. My head didnt come out like in the video, its more long and there is a visible "neck". I followed all the steps in the video but for some reason mine is much different. Only the head tho
I'm very disappointed about the head. It didn't come out similar in the slightest! Gonna do it by another tutorial, cuz apparently there is smth wrong with this one. Or it's my mistake, but I'm confused because I followed the pattern step by step
Why did mine turn out so long and the head looks like a cone!!
Maybe that's because of the technique you used to decrease ?

You can definitely learn!! Go to old soul crochet. She has a bunny crochet along and teaches ! It’s so easy and she’s a great teacher!
