- Had the John Deere 2520 and the leaf vac working on Saturday!! The John Deere has a 60 inch deck that works great at picking up the leaves. I also had the Husquavarna 150BT backpack helping out a little. Hope you enjoy the video!!
That's really impressive! You tackled that big leaf job in a way a lot of businesses can only wish they could.
I got tired of vacuuming and raking leaves so I made a thick aluminum plate to block the discharge chute on my ZTR mower. the plate attaches with 2 bolts. I just ride around like mowing grass, the blades pick up the leaves and chop them to tiny pieces that drop back in the lawn. it cleans the yard like a vacuum.

That's a big task on an area that size! A suggestion to perhaps help to reduce the number of leaves getting in the pond which I have used successfully in the past: See if you can get your hands on some of that lightweight mesh that is sold for putting on fruit bushes to keep the birds off and stretch it over the water pegged down on the banks to catch leaves.

holy lots of leafs chipper guy at least u have a vacuum had about the same acreage when I was a kid had to hand rake in the snow up hill both ways before I went to school lol stay safe get logs

The leaf vac that collects leaves for the city of Greensboro is pretty awesome to watch. It's got a Catapillar engine and it's pool usually buy a freightliner or a Mac dump truck.

grew up with the same thing 18 acres with some nasty hills and and acre pond. dad likes to grow and transplant trees so weve got the same problem with the leaves going in the pond got mom a jacobsen WAM like your father inlaws and built her a 4x8x6 leaf trailer for her blower as well. works like a dream

Get some texas red wriggler worms to put in your compost pile. they will eat the heck out of them and reduce to nice compost.
Wouldn't using one of those 6000+ CFM blowers to create a pile be faster?
I just put a mulch kit on my 51" and you can't see anything but grass when I'm done. Just saying :)
