- It's my first ever Iwagumi aquascape. I had to tear down my one year old algae infested nano tank for this. But, I must say it's the easiest setup I've ever done! There was a major setback in the tank setup but that's for another time to share.
I've always wanted to build an Iwagumi nano tank using dry start method and after the poll results, I was even more determined to give it a go!
The Iwagumi nano tank gives me that 'zen' feeling each time coz I love that it's clean and neat.
Tank Setup: 18x25x25cm
Ligthing: Chihiros WRGB2 Slim 30cm
Hardscape: Giryu Stones
Substrate: Tropica Aquasoil
Plants: Unknown carpet plant

Nice setup!
thanks, FM! glad i finally had the chance to scape an iwagumi nano tank. there was a setback initially during the setup and i'll be sharing about it soon. stay tuned to this one! 🧐
It's really amazing bro. Well wishes for u❤
Thanks, Borhan! Likewise, baya. ❤️
Nice turn out from the seeds...hopefully it stays short and not lengthy stem like plants as i have heard from others....new sub as well...
Thanks, Jimmy. I hope so too. Plants haven't grown any taller so i guess its a carpet plant. 😅 N thanks for subscribing! Appreciate it. 😊
Great Stuff, nice and simple yet detailed
Thanks, Adam! Perhaps should give it a try for urself too, mate. Would love to see ur version of an Iwagumi. Can pen it down in the note book. 😃
Wow that turned out beautifully ❤
One of the reasons why I've been wanting to do an iwagumi aquascape 😍 Thanks, Christine! ❤
Subscribed from Australia. Beautiful tanks! Well done.
thank u, Ansett! Much appreciated! 😀
looks great! but hows the scape now? i thought most of these chinese carpet seeds are actually just stem plants that grow tall after flooding.
Thanks, Evan! The carpet plants are still of the same length. I bought it online n it says max growth is 2cm. There are pictures of it before i bought it but it's missing the plant's name unfortunately. Written in chinese n I'm hoping someone can ID it. 😅
@@MSAquascaping sounds good! maybe you can use google translate to decipher what the package says🤣
Very nice work!!😮just beautiful!😍
Thanks, Pelham! Loving this iwagumi setup ❤ Had to be patient though 😅
@@MSAquascaping yes you don’t wanna rush something that nice!
Fantastic tank my friend 👍👍👍
Comments like these makes me strive to do better in this hobby. Thanks, Skull! 🥰
@@MSAquascaping You are expert class.
@@theaustralianconundrum i wouldn't say that about myself but i feel humbled by ur kind words. 😊
Hello from my fish room channel in Chicago, where I subscribe to yours :) Did you ever id those seed plants???
Hey! hope you're doing well over there. Yes, I managed to. it says 'Aquatic Plant Waterweed (mini leaves)' but I'm not sure if it's the actual name though. Have you got any idea what it is?
@@MSAquascaping LOL - that description describes most aquatic plants! The older growth in your subsequent video looks like Helanthium or even Sag but I doubt it is that because I'm not sure those plants even produce seeds the way you bought them. Either way, good luck!
Those orangy-red shrimp pop against that green carpet! Can’t figure out what that carpet plant is that you got as seeds, but it’s beautifully filled in your scape. Very nice 👍
It's exactly what I had imagined when I had this Iwagumi scape idea and I'm glad it turned out well. 😃 I'm still figuring out what the carpet plants are. 😅 Thank you for the kind words, Maureen! 🥰❤️

I just get nervous about using C02 because it is so expensive and complicated for me in my retirement.
I haven't used a high-end CO2 setup myself. Perhaps you should give those disposable DIY CO2 setup a try. I've used it, only costs $30 and can last up to 2 months. Check out 'NEO CO2'. Hope this helps! 😊
@@MSAquascaping Thanks!!!
What happened to those shrimp lol
i'm glad u noticed. 🤭 they're housed in another tank now. even have shrimplets too! sharp eyes, u have! 🧐😃
The label translates to "Waterweed seeds (mini leaves)".
Thanks, JC! Im exploring other seeds for future setups. Really glad this mini leaves turned out well! Was nervous initially. 🫣
@@MSAquascaping I would avoid seeds
@JC_303 care to share the reason why? 🤔
@@MSAquascaping 99% of them are scams.
What tank brand is this? (And where to buy)
Hey, thanks for dropping by! I cant recall the brand n i can't find it at the local aquarium shop which I bought two years ago in Singapore. But I guess it's as good as any tank u can find out there. Most of my tanks aren't of the same brand. Some are brandless. 😅
