      Thank you) Yes, you can make Royal Icing with aquafaba, but it will be completely different recipe and taste. You can take 6 tbsp strained canned chickpeas brine, 4-5 cups powdered sugar, 1/2 tsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract for vegan icing. I hope it helps)

    When you're letting the icing dry do you leave the cookies sitting out on the counter or store them in a container?

    • @PastryMadness
      @PastryMadness  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Emily, I keep them on the baking sheet out on the counter or I place the baking sheets inside the COLD oven, so I still have my space)))

    Can we exchange meringue powder with cream tartar?

    • @PastryMadness
      @PastryMadness  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Sana, unfortunately no. Meringue powder is composed of cornstarch, dried egg white, sugar, citric acid, and some stabilizer. Cream of tartaric is acid. As you can see, these are completely different products.

    How long should we wait for the icing to dry and draw some other details on top of it?

      Hi. there are a lot of different ways to substitute meringue powder with fresh egg whites, egg white powder, aquafaba... but you need to be aware that the final result can be different. You can watch my video "EGG WHITE POWDER ROYAL ICING" or google "Meringue Powder Substitutes" and you will find a lot of information. Have a great day!)

    Спасибо за рецепт! А сколько можно хранить такой icing в холодильнике? Спасибо

    • @PastryMadness
      @PastryMadness  Před 2 lety +1

      Привет, Анастасия, такой айсинг можно хранить при комнатной температуре в герметичном контейнере до 2-х недель или в холодильнике до месяца. При длительном хранении вода отделится от айсинг и перед употреблением его необходимо ещё раз хорошо взбить.)
