- SCP 616 is a Keter Class anomaly also known as The Vessel and the Gate.
SCP-616 is a prototype Boeing airplane.
SCP616 's model had various internal alterations, including [DATA EXPUNGED]. Despite the various alterations, the most important feature of SCP-616 is the center left emergency door, which has been dubbed SCP-616-1. SCP-616-1 is a standard emergency door, though partially covered in extensive markings associated with Satanic cults.
SCP-616-1 will autonomously open once every thirty (30) days, and begin to close.
Once SCP-616-1 spontaneously opens, cabin pressure will destabilize as expected, and extreme 'turbulence' is encountered. At various points during the flight, all present personnel may feel as if SCP-616 is quickly falling, though it has been ascertained that SCP-616 remains in relatively stable cruising conditions during all times, including during the times of these events. SCP-616-1's opening may cause certain individuals present to suffer fatal heart-attacks and more.

this is one of the OG popular ones from before SCP was mainstream and zoomerbait. Its one of my personal favorite from when I first started reading and there where only the first series of 1000
The good old SCP breakdown style is far more appreciated than hypotheticals and vs matches. The other formats have overstayed their welcome to be honest. It’s time for more of this.
I love the side-by-side of the story and the explanation. You get both a breakdown and get pulled into the characters' thoughts.
That little voice in his head must be the Holy Spirit talking to him. It makes perfect sense if that's the case, especially if he knew nothing about what would actually happen if that door was to close.

Always loved this one. 666 got more attention on the original site because of the number (which is ironic because the original sign of the beast was 616 if I recall), but I always found the gateway a lot more interesting.
SCP-666 was a method for curing addictions, noted to be far more cruel than simple 'cold turkey' rehabilitation.
Until today, this was always one of the best ones that got very little coverage. Hopefully some more good ones are on the way, this one made my day. Do 752 or that George Washington steampunk cyborg and that'll make my week.
This one definitely feels underrated. It's a classic faith based SCP

Chapter One: The Devilish HIM
The Powerpuff Girls were now in their early twenties, but they still had the same youthful appearance that made them famous as superheroes. Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were sitting in the living room of their modest apartment, discussing their upcoming mission against the villainous HIM.
"I don't think we're ready for this, girls," Blossom said, twirling a strand of her red hair around her finger. "HIM is not like any villain we've faced before."
Bubbles looked up from her phone, her blonde hair falling over her eyes. "Buttercup and I have been training hard, Blossom. We can handle anything HIM throws at us."
"But it's not just about strength, Bubbles," Buttercup interjected, crossing her muscular arms over her chest. "HIM is a psychological villain. He preys on our fears and insecurities. We need to be mentally prepared for this."
Blossom sighed, knowing Buttercup was right. They had all faced HIM before, and he always managed to get under their skin. But this time, it felt different. They were older, more aware of the world around them, and their bodies were changing.
Bubbles suddenly stood up, her phone forgotten on the couch. "Speaking of our bodies, have you guys noticed anything different lately?"
Blossom and Buttercup exchanged a look, and then turned to Bubbles. "What do you mean?" Blossom asked.
"I mean, like...down there," Bubbles said, blushing furiously. "Things are...different."
Buttercup rolled her eyes. "I don't think we need to discuss this right now, Bubbles."
"Why not?" Bubbles asked, looking hurt. "We're all grown-ups now. It's important to know what's happening with our bodies."
Blossom sighed again, sensing an argument brewing. "Let's just focus on the mission for now, girls. We can talk about this later."
The conversation turned back to HIM and his latest plans for world domination. But as they spoke, the girls couldn't shake the feeling that something was different. Their bodies were changing, their powers were growing, and they were starting to see the world in a different light.
Little did they know, HIM was already watching them, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

Buttercup felt a chill run down her spine as she approached the bathroom mirror. Her hair was falling out in clumps, and her scalp was red and inflamed.
"Guys, come quick!" she called out to her sisters. "Look at my hair!"
Blossom and Bubbles rushed into the bathroom, their eyes widening in horror at the sight of their sister's hair.
"What's happening to me?" Buttercup asked, panic creeping into her voice.
Blossom put a comforting hand on her sister's shoulder. "We don't know, but we'll figure it out. Maybe it's just stress."
Buttercup shook her head. "I don't think so. I feel like something's wrong. Really wrong."
Bubbles nodded in agreement. "I've been feeling weird too. Like I can't control my powers as well as I used to."
Blossom frowned. "We need to investigate this. We need to find out what's causing this."
As the girls tried to come up with a plan, a low rumbling sound filled the room. It grew louder and louder until the walls shook and the mirrors shattered.
"What the hell is that?" Buttercup yelled over the noise.
Suddenly, a dark figure appeared before them. It was HIM, the devilish cosmic horror villain who had haunted their nightmares for years.
"Hello, girls," he hissed, a sickly sweet smile on his face. "I see you've noticed some changes. Don't worry, it's just the beginning."
The girls banded together, ready to fight HIM off, but their powers were weaker than ever before. HIM had found a way to weaken them, and they were at his mercy.
"You can't do this!" Blossom cried out, desperation in her voice. "We won't let you win!"
HIM chuckled. "Oh, I think you will. You see, girls, you're not the little heroes you used to be. You're growing up, and with that comes a whole host of new challenges. And I'm going to be right here, every step of the way."
As he vanished into thin air, the girls were left feeling more scared and alone than ever before. They knew they had to find a way to stop HIM before it was too late. But with their powers waning and their bodies changing in ways they couldn't explain, they weren't sure they were up to the task.

The explosion was deafening, the shockwave knocking the girls to the ground. They groaned and pushed themselves up, shaking the rubble from their hair and clothes. Blossom's eyes were wide with shock as she took in the destruction around them. Their home, their sanctuary, was nothing but a pile of rubble.
Bubbles whimpered, her lower lip trembling as tears streamed down her face. "Everything's gone," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Buttercup's fists clenched as she scanned the area, looking for any sign of HIM. "We need to find him," she growled. "We need to make him pay."
Blossom nodded in agreement, but her eyes were haunted. "He's getting stronger," she said, her voice trembling. "We can't keep fighting him like this."
The girls stood up, brushing off the dust and debris. They looked at each other, determination etched on their faces. They were scared, but they refused to back down.
As they took to the air, the city below them was a blur of lights and movement. The streets were crowded, but the people below didn't seem to notice the girls flying above them. They were too caught up in their own lives, too busy to notice the horrors that lurked in the shadows.
The girls flew towards the heart of the city, their eyes scanning the skyline for any sign of HIM. They knew that he was out there, somewhere, waiting for them.
As they flew, they talked, their voices low and serious. They talked about their fears, about the changes that were happening to their bodies and their powers. They talked about the responsibility that came with being heroes, and the toll it was taking on their lives.
But despite everything, they refused to give up. They would fight HIM, no matter what it took. They would protect the city, and the people they loved.
And as they flew into the night, their faces grim and determined, they knew that things were only going to get worse. But they were the Powerpuff Girls, and they would never back down from a fight.
