I feel like the winners aren't acknowledging enough how Kieron is the only reason they won. If he hadn't pointed the finger at Will and said 'A little parting gift', they would have thought he was the last traitor and not done the second banishment, so Will would have won.
so true!! they were clueless and would have lost without him
I was thinking that.
The traitors had a really good game plan. They left the most gullible ones. Wilf didn't realise he needed other traitors to be on his side until the end.
Exactly, Kieran corrupted the outcome because Wilf played a better game than him, so he threw his toys out. Showed Kieran to be a Spiteful sore loser
@@Alf-Garnish Kieran had to vote for someone. And why would he vote for any of the other three and not the one who backstabbed him???
Should he just have voted for himself or Aaron or Hannah or Meryl???
He had all the motives to vote for Wilf and Wilf should have known that. You cant throw people out like trash expecting them to love you.
âA parting gift - Willâ Absolutely iconic moment.
Will, I mean, đ€
â@@ianscales4347 or is it Wilf? After the dog??đđ
Yeah was really good when he spoiled the game by telling them who the traitor was
exactly! @@NecroMorrius
@@NecroMorrius Don't be a serial backstabber and then be shocked when you get yourself stabbed in the back?
Every single traitor he threw under the bus, Amanda and Keiron in particular he started the suspicion on them, not to mention he did so after essentially forcing keiron into that situation.
He did everything he could to play the game so that he'd be the sole winner and got away with the backstabbing until the very end and karma bit him on the ass.
The games the game, Will played the game his way inside the rules & Kieron did the same
Love the chemistry between Claudia & the contestants⊠really makes a nice change from other interviews Iâve seen
I think she's really good in that character. When she's being herself not so much (her energy is quite high for some ) but really good in this.
@@butchershoppequartet8690 Maybe this is more her natural character, it feels like it is. She seems more natural than when she is presenting on strictly somehow. I just fell in love with her on here and the whole show.
She bloody brilliant
Amanda made the series for me.
There wouldnât have been half as much drama.
She deserves some recognition 100%
Kieran came up with the best name for her too - "The Matriarch." So perfect and obvious once I heard it.
She played the game so well. Went full Heisenberg mode đ
The was the best, for sure. If she would not be betrayed, traitors would win 100%.
@@PurushaDesa lol that wasn't anything clever
I love Amanda so much, will did her so dirty đ€
One of my favorite things about this show was that Claudia enters it with this cool and suave personality and then towards the end she is screaming, rooting and hugging all the contestans. It was amazing to see her get so emotionally invested and it really shows here in this interview as well.
same! i love how quickly she gave up the cool suave character and realised what the contestants NEEDED was a friend :)
Her crying at the end was so heartfelt. Claudia is the best host.
The best show on t.v in years! The concept, the characters, the twists and turns and that amazing final moment. Another season please!
I absolutely loved every minute, Wills speech at the end did bring tears to my eyes though and like you i'd welcome another season. Such a great show â„
@@VengieShiva Will manipulating beyond the game speech, you mean!
Nahhhh. On reflection it could be made better and more interesting. For starters, it would be nice to have some objective elements that would help distinguish faithfuls from the traitors. Because as it stands, the show is just pure guesswork.
@@scienceevolves4417 I loved this show but yes they can explore so many more angles! Hopefully they will! I suppose at the moment, the elimination process is a combination of a popularity contest and simply picking on people for slight changes in their behaviour- no context applied!
Cant wait till next series....very intriguing....thank you x
Kieran was so instrumental in not only in Will's downfall, but Amanda's as well. He honestly was the hero the show didn't ask for, but needed.
10000% agree, Amanda and Will were so evil, it was pure glory to see their downfall by Kieren!
Kieran actually cheated! He was far from a hero! Didnât play to the rules of the game.. Amanda and Will were playing the gameâŠ. I.e the show they all entered called Traitors!!
@@jduffy4851 yes in the show that Will forced Kieran to become a traitor or be murdered. The show that made a traitor recruit after there was one left after Amanda, named Will. The show where Will became greedy and decided to screw Kieran over out of the money, then ended up getting screwed by Kieran because the show allows the contestants to say something when they are saying their reason for why they voted for someone. Because the show is called traitors, and the irony is no matter what role given, their faithfulness is tested.
â@@jduffy4851 He didn't cheat at all - he didn't say anything that he was forbidden from saying or doing.
I loved Kieran! He saw Will's true nature and I'm glad that when he realized Will was going to be backstab him he pointed out that he wasn't going to be used and discarded. Go Kieran!
Amanda was my favourite! She deserves a role in Eastenders! âCan I just say, the bloody cheekâ was quote of the series!
amanda was amazing
Iâm just so happy that Aaron won. That boy was so respectful especially to Andrea. He held her hands while walking and was overall sweet albeit a bit dumb. Him mentioning his mum everytime was so cute too.
I felt so bad for him during the round tables. Maddy was absolutely wild for putting him through it every time without evidence.
And John, Aaron just wanted to get to know him better n man got triggered. Also John calling him out for crying was mad đ an ep later he does the same.
He's the only one out of all 22 contestants that spoke about using the money for completely selfless reasons. Didn't even say he'd use a tenner if it to buy himself a pint. I disagree that he came across as dumb - he has ADHD and has probably been called that a lot, especially in school. He's a special kind of human.
John has issues.
Truly a wonderful son and respectful young man.
John was totally toxic. Truly annoyed me when he went off on Aaron!
When he had that pannic attack my heart broke. Im so glad he made it through.
Claudiaâs first proper show that she fronted and has ownership of and itâs now already iconic! Love her â€
She's perfect for this. I want to see loads of series of this with Claudia at the helm. Brilliant TV.
She was the perfect host for it. Some shows make presenters, this was hers
Great show, if you do a season two, you need an after show with each episode like the apprentices you're fired. Because I would have loved to see how Maddy would have reacted to finding out Wilfred was a traitor.
Ikr!! Would be so good to see the reactions đđđ
Agreed, I was dying to see Maddies reaction.
Helloooo!? MI5 đ
She was on BBC Breakfast the day after she was Banished!
@@eleanorlyndon865 I don't know if BBC breakfast is a radio or TV thing... But either way it's a thing on it's own right that I do not watch it listen to it because I'm at work, so missed it.
Whereas if there was a dedicated after show, I would know to tune in to watch that. Just saying they missed a trick.
Very interesting how they didn't talk AT ALL about Kieran giving the game away at the end. If he hadn't done that, we'd be looking at a very different result.
It is like Wilf still has the 3 winners manipulated... Kieran saved them... not Wilf.
Totally agree, high level manipulation from Wilf. The finalist were only kept in cos they were the most easily manipulated and fooled. I donât buy Wilfs final speech, thatâs just to save face that he had tried to emotionally blackmail everyone with that ultimatum
Bro he cried about backstabbing allysa and Amanda. He really liked hannah and that's why he kept her in
He should have received a contractual fine for that breach. Also, he has some serious anger issues.
A bit shout out to the production team behind the cameras who arranged, plotted, schemed and brought to life an amazing production.
Whoever thought of this deserves a medal!!! It was absolutely brilliant. Please please please do another series. Claudia is sooo perfect for presenting the programme. Love her. â€
Some Dutch people came up with it. There has been a Dutch celebrity and Australian version before the UK series launched
Itâs based off the games Werewolf and Mafia.
@@adrianofgold Also, the game Among Us is almost the same idea.

Best reality game show since the launch of Big Brother 22 years ago! A brilliant cast, worthy winners, and an exceptional host at the top of her game. Claud deserves all the presenter / host awards next year and I cannot wait for a second series. One of the top 5 best shows of 2022. Outstanding telly - well done to all involved!

Both Dutch formats. đ
@@yoshudriver6831 yep! not a fan of Big Brother but nevertheless quite proud that these formats proved to be so successful internationally
The best show this year a season 2 is a must.
This has to be the best thing the BBC have commissioned other than its phenomenal nature and wildlife programmes. Genius concept, the best presenter ( don't ever let go of Claudia) , wonderful place to film with the best 1st cast of characters. I feel a bafta coming your way BBC
BEST CAST EVER! I'd honestly be so happy to see these genuinely nice people all play again :) Claudia is a superstar too! Genuinely the best TV show potentially EVER! I found myself crying at the end with Wilf. SEASON 2 PLEASE WITH THE SAME CAST haha!
They won't acting they were themselves
I have to agree with the cast being fantastic, particularly wilf, as he was the perfect scheming backstabbing villain and made the show so much better to watch. I hope he gets some sort of job opportunities come his way following this, as even though he was a Judas he deserves recognition for all the great drama he created.
No Kieran was the worst to cast and he broke the rules go look at the other 2 renditions of this show completely different
brilliant show, it shows that the contestants were well looked after too!!
this show was such a breath of fresh air for british television and claudia winkleman you absolute diamond đ„°
I loved Aaron the most. I think if you look at him through the entire show he's always so loving and kind to everyone and always hearing him say he was pushing along for his mom made me love him even more. I think that's the biggest reason Wilf and Amanda changed their gameplay at the end. I do feel like Wilf definitely deserved to win because he played a brilliant game. I feel like if he had recruited Amanda they could've totally won together but I was happy about how it turned out. Its such a good show. I wish they'd done a full on reunion show with everyone before series 2 starts up.
The BEST breakout show of 2022
I just finished the season on Peacock and my God you would have thought it was the Superbowl the way we clapped and yelled. What a season! There's no chance of ever replicating the energy and connection the same as this group but truly love the season.
Love from the US!
Everything in this show was so brilliant. The aesthetic was fantastic, the missions were thought through and interesting, the game was masterly structured and the cast was so lovely and respectful despite their diversity (most of the time). Absolutely outstanding. Hope this show will return for a second season!
Claudia passion for the show shun through and finally normal people on the show, what a breath of fresh air.
Wish there was an aftershow.Would love to see everyone's reaction. Brilliant concept
sad you didn't get to speak much to Keiran, l felt he was quite instrumental in
the end, he made sure that 3 faithfulls got a share of the money, his cryptic speech at the round table planted a huge seed of doubt that ultimately got Will the Traitor out. Don't forget, had Will made it to the end, he would have received ALL the money, a brilliant twist played out by Keiran. The winners should be very grateful to him. Well done Keiran on a game well played.
Absolutely
@@m_t3901 YES Will the egotist taking all the credit yet Kieran turned the game on its head resulting in 3 people instead of Wally Wilf winning!
It wasn't really cryptic and when he stood up he looked at Hannah a couple of times and signalled with his eyes it was Will, which I personally think shouldn't have been allowed and why didn't the other 2 traitors throw him under the bus if it was allowed.
@@WotchaLookinAt1well thatâs probably why he had to be âcrypticâ, Iâm sure thereâs probably a clause in the contract they signed that when they reveal themselves to be faithful/traitor at the podium, theyâre not allowed to directly say âx person is also a traitorâ as thatâll corrupt the game, so the best they can do is drop hints
@@reececollison5101 Sure but there's no way you should be allowed to make any non verbal signals once you stand up to leave. Which Kieran blatantly did when he locked eyes with Hannah and directed her eyes towards Will.
Wilf downfall not selecting Hannah as his co traitor
He would betray her too wouldn't he đ€đ
Correct! Everyone said the third must be a man and they were right, so Kieran was a terrible choice
Breath of fresh air especially from the bbc. They location, theme, and all round atmosphere was fantastic! Season 2 can't come quick enough hurry up and renew it!!! â€ïž
Such a riveting, intense, and emotional show! The finale was amazing. That parting gift...
It's great seeing them in good spirits.
I'm from the Netherlands and really enjoyed the Dutch versions, but the UK version was awesome! In the beginning I thought Claudia was rather 'cold' and aloof (I didn't know her before this), but started to like her more and more. And all those unexpected plot twists in the game... Absolutely brilliant! I'm looking forward to watching a new season!
I'm from NL too and hadn't seen the first 2 Dutch series. I got hooked via the BBC version and... I am hungering for the UK S2!
Such a clever well thought out show. Couldnât stop watching it all play out brilliant.
Absolutely brilliant show. We binge watched this week and weâre hooked. Great concept and Claudia a fantastic host.
Finished the show last night and watched this today. We loved it! Claud is the perfect host for this show. More please!
An absolutely brilliant series. I hope that the BBC make another series of this as was totally hooked.
CAN YOU PLEASE MAKE A REUNION EPISODE WITH EVERYONE FROM THE CAST ALL BACK TOGETHER WITH THE TRAITORS IT WOULD HAVE SOOOOO MUCH DRAMA
It would have zero drama unfortunately.. they are all best friends
Yes! I would love to see this. I definitely feel like we need a debrief. đđ
Itâs definitely the kinda show you need an aftermath episode to see everyoneâs reactions to the reveal once it goes on air
Loved the series. Loved Claudia, she was brilliant. I was on the edge of my seat every episode. I was the fly on the wall, knowing everything, who the traitors were. Wilf played a blinder. I know he really wanted the money. But, his death nail was signed by Kieran. When he said. âThis is my parting gift to youâ đź Game over! đđ»đ Brilliant!
Absolutely loved it, addictive. Hope they do a second series.
I can't believe the last three Faithfuls (before Kieran's round table talk) didn't realise that there was DEFINITELY another Traitor among them. They knew that two Traitors had been banished. Surely they knew from the beginning that there were three Traitors in total (besides Kieran, because Kieran joined a good few episodes into the series), so there HAD to be another Traitor amongst them. None of the Faithfuls even tried to go through that logic.
Oh yeah! There had to be a traitor there since BEFORE Kieran reappeared in order for Kieran to have been recruited. Seems so obvious now but I hadnât though of it myself!
Well I guess there's the possibility that all the traitors had been banished and the producers just made some more?
I was shouting this at the telly - I couldnât believe they never acknowledged that Kieran was late to the party so couldnât have been the only traitor.
No, the Faithfuls are never told how many traitors there are, even at the start. So for all they know, there could have been just two traitors selected at the round table meaning there didn't have to be another one left after Kieran.
@@mrj4615 but they always talked about three traitors, didn't they? so they might have had some kind of idea...

Just finished this show! Fantastic and absolutely loved it :D Amanda was my favourite
I loved this program so much. The twists and turnsâŠit was like the first series of Big Brother when Nasty Nick was outed combined with Cluedo, shear genius!
I couldn't understand why so many tears đ Every episode had me questioning if they remembered this was a game and wanted to actually win the money?! đ”âđ« I'm guessing none of them have ever played Mafia before...epic game!
However, I absolutely loved the programme and binge watched it this week. I wanted Amanda to win because she was the only one holding it together emotionally and acted the most natural out of all the traitors.
Exactly. Watch the US version. They understood the assignment! UK was a bunch of emotion wrecks with no brains or thoughts of their own!
some of them had played social deduction games before, but they take what, an hour to complete? Typically with established friends. These strangers shared a up to fortnight of their life together and just like, the sets, the relationships that had to be developed essentially in character, the fact that it was for money not just for fun... from what I gather in interviews, podcasts and AMAs is that it was just a powder keg for a really emotional experience. I doubt series 2 will replicate it quite as much to be honest, unless we go by AU season 2 where only like 1 or 2 of the contestants even bothered watching season 1 before they played.
@@MikeRees not to mention the sleep deprivation! they all talked about how little sleep they were getting, i feel like the stress and paranoia and lack of sleep would set anyone off but maybe thats just me aha

The Dutch one and the Australian one were pretty good, but our UK one was easily the best version of this show. Appreciate the production values, and especially making the endgame atmospheric and fair (and not going down the Golden-Balls-style split or steal rubbish like the other countries!). Great cast, great missions, and the ending was the icing on the cake!
Any links to watch the other versions at all? I'm getting withdrawal symptoms!
I enjoyed the American one as well.
oh yes, the UK tops it for me (Dutch, in Netherlands) and I would love to have been able to see the Oz version.. it is said to have been really good too.
Not really. UK was the WORST. TOO MUCH CRYING. Too much emotional thinking. Zero "tough" players. Nobody was really intelligent.... the US and Australia were brutal. They were smart. They were traitors for real. They were funny. They used their brains and wit. UK was mediocre at best
Brilliant programme...hopefully another series next year...

I just watched this entire series on the Peacock app here in the states. BRILLIANT television! I had just watched the US version a few days ago and was blown away by the originality of the game, the setting, and the players. As soon as I finished, I instantly skipped over to the UK series and it was equally as brilliant! I had no idea who the host Claudia is before this, apparently she is a known media personality over there. I thought she was amazing! I love her look, and I think sheâs just perfect for the show. I thought all of the players brought something to the game and was so pleased by the way it ended so dramatically! The US version has already been picked up for the season, two! I really, really hope they do the same for the UK. And if you havenât watched the US version already, please do it is a nearly exact replica. Same challenges, same setting as the UK just a different host with Alan Cumming.

OBSESSED WITH THE SHOW
I felt sorry for Kieran. He had a raw deal.
He did.....but I'm so thankful for his Parting Gift đ
Kieran threw himself to the wolves though at the round table. Surely he could have looked, and sounded a little less guilty. The others weren't going to vote for anyone else after that were they? And he cheated at the end I think, I mean I'm definite about that. He fairly openly indicated that Wilf was a traitor. There's no mistake about that.
@@marykistnen6837 You should watch the show, they were obviously voting for Kieran regardless because of Wilf snaking him all day. They barely tried to hide it.
Keiran did not wear the traitor role at all well⊠he looked so anxious as soon as he had that burden - got threatening with Wilf etc and just didnât look comfortable.
Iâm glad for the outcome but does feel a bit harsh on Wilf that he was even forced to take on another traitor.

The best show ever.
So satisfying to see Maddy say she told you so!
When it was trailed, I imagined it would be vacuous twaddle like so many "reality" shows. But it wasn't! The simple yet complex game idea was the difference that lifted it up. I recorded ep1 and it was just such a superb idea (based, I suspect, on social deduction tabletop games like One Night Ultimate Werewolf) that we were hooked, and it became the one show in the week we looked forward to. I really hope we get more series.
It just needs a small tweak imo. The Challenges part where they win the money is a sort of tacked on sub par I'm A Celebrity copy cat. Let's be honest - we all watched it for the Murders, Round Tables and general paranoia! Yes? đ

Maddy accusing half the contestants whilst being adamant Amanda and Alyssa were faithfuls and then claiming she was right all along will never not be funny đ
To be fair she only really suspected Wilf and Aaron making her half right considering nobody else suspected a traitor really. She only suspected Meryl because she was so defensive and supportive of wilf which made no sense (which is suspect - considering Meryl was wrong to be so supportive and so her being voted out would still be a good move for the faithfuls)
