I'm so glad mama kitty is happy in her new home. It's definitely the right choice as some cats (especially female ones) just prefer to the only queen in the castle. Claudia's face when she was fighting Charlie was too hilarious! I couldn't stop laughing.
Sorry you had to lose mama cat, I can't imagine how hard it was. But you're right, it was the right thing to do. Thanks for thinking about her first, I'm sure she'll be very happy in her new home.
@@BookswithEmilyFox When I worked in a bookshop it was a known phenomenon that if a book was sitting face out instead of sitting with its spine out, it became about three times harder to locate.
Even though you had to part with Mama cat which is very sad remember you where the person she needed back then. You gave her a safe space to have her kittens and time to warm up to humans on her own terms. You set her up for a great reitred outside cat life and her babies have you to be looked after ❤ Plus its always harder to rehome three cats but as they are bonded so closely it would have been a shame seeing them go seperate ways 😢 My cats are also back at my parents as my new place is a lot smaller and theres no balcony to sunbathe on. It was definetley a hard choice but seeing them have their best epder live with my soon also reitred parents makes me believe I did the right thing. I do miss them dearly but as for mama cat their happyness comes first. I hope the new owners keep in touch here and there I loved hearing back from old adoptees when I worked at a shelter seeing how much cats change in an enviorment they thrive in 😊❤
My cat wont tolerate other cats either so I get it. Im just glad you loved her enough to go through the effort of finding a home that is actually suitable for her. Now everyone can be happy!
My last pair was mismatched. I got a hyper boy, and got him a "sister" as a playmate only she was a solitary cat. She hid from him and he constantly pestered her. They didn't fight, but she really found him an annoyance.
My sister used to be the owner of my cat but when she got a kitten he bullied her a lot to the point where she wouldn't come inside anymore but was sleeping in the shed. So my husband and I took her in and she's thriving being the only pet and we spoil her rotten. Some cats just don't get along with others and need to be in a home by themselves. I'm sure mama cat will be very happy where she is now and as long as she's happy you've done the right thing.
Sorry to hear about Pear, sometimes things just don't work out. I'm my dog's 4th owner that I know of bc she kept getting retuned to the shelter, I've had her almost 10 years now.

I adopted my kitty when he was almost 2. He'd groomed off half of his fur, and was really skinny. He'd come from a two-cat home and I don't know what else was going on there but he was scared of everything (the other cat that was with him was healthy and confident.) He has flourished as an only cat. His fur started growing back after a month or so, and he is now the floofiest floof. Much less shy and scared and a big love bug. So while it's sad giving up mama cat, she's probably going to be so much happier and you still rescued here and the kittens!
