Steven Wang yep, yesterday Portugal vs Sweden U21 Eurocup final, was decided in penalties. Portugal was better during the 120 minutos the game lasted, but in the end Sweden won in penalties.

Not luck...Mental strength matters in penalties. The stronger one is mentally, the more likely he would keep his emotions in check. If one gets overwhelmed by the pressure then it does strange things.

I have observed a phenomenon, if a team is weak it has more chance of coming on top in penalties. The reason is penalties are more of a mental skill and the underdog teams have nothing to lose and consequently less pressure.
