There are some really provocative pieces such as his big regarding Adolph Eichmann and America but also just 'funny' bits like his TV bits. He was from the vaudeville era so different style but IMO the comedian most like him is Dave Chappelle (stay healthy Dave!!).
Also you should hit up the wellspring of old school comics from the 60s that built it all. Regardless of how you see him now, Woody Allen's first (only?) Comedy album was just insanely good for example.
