@@mohabalgzairly2386 I don't think financial strengh has anything to do with it. It's just that he saw Blaber, Jojopyun, Berserker, Vulcan team in LCS vs Closer, LFL promote, Upset and Targa in LEC. One is likely to make worlds without him. One is unlikely to make worlds with him. It makes sense if he wants internationals.

I could see the third tournament being like a preseason tournament where teams play their expected rosters for the new year prior to playing any regular season match-ups. I imagine it would then field the teams from the previous season's Worlds (probably less of them, MSI amount of teams maybe)

@@MrHavuu I think I like the way they have it planned where one stage is fearless and the other is standard draft. I think fearless makes for a much more fun regular season where teams are forced to test more, but standard is crucial for playoff bo5s as we know them. Like the draft adaptations over the course of a series "we can't let them have ___", "let ___ through bans", etc. If it was fearless it'd be like "wow they rocked our shit with this op pick, good thing they can't pick it next 4 games"

If Riot was smart the third international should be a more "for fun" event, like an all-star event or something, with more content oriented interactions. Each league votes for representatives from the previous season. It would be the perfect type of setting to do the Hall of Fame thing. Imagine the hype they could build if they did some kind of "Player of the year" award as well.

The international events should consider switching to the "fearless" draft that LPL have concocted. Would make BO5s much more interesting and we would see a lot more uncommon champions and a lot more player personality and flexibility shine through.
I'd prefer fearless be kept in academy and challenger leagues. It's good for expanding developing players champion pools, but it takes away the expression of meta read and how teams adapt to it in draft. Half of what I like about pro games is watching how the draft evolves over the series, seeing what players prioritize and synergies. Then seeing how they adapt to it with their own comps, bans, or picks.
@@acatwithwiskers9273 typically they just don't really change. It's always the same 3-4 champs in every role being played 90% of the time. Fearless draft is so much more entertaining and skill expressive.

In game 1, if BLG play K’Sante, Lee Sin, Azir, Zeri, Lulu (I don’t know anything about teambuilding, it’s just an example) then they are not allowed to play any of those champs for the rest of the series, even if a different player is playing it (like a flex pick)

1. Lpl bouta be the most entertaining region to watch (like it already isnt lol)
2. Add autumn split + international and we get 4 splits 4 internationals a year, sure the pros will have less rest but the entertained will be more soo and the organizers' pockets will be fuller!

I had been talking about exactly this new "fearless" format for a while and that they should do it, but usually peoplw just said it did not make sense because the pros only know at a high level so many champs xD

Fearless Draft is such a nice addition to the sport. I hope other regions follow up on this. This can make the game so much more enjoyable to watch. The way draft currently works has become so stale and predictable. More diversity in champs could also open up the overall meta.
Should definitely implement fearless drafts across the board. Sick of seeing the same few champs and pros just settling on certain matchups.

eh, i didnt really watch the lng series last worlds but i never felt like tarzans reputation was tarnished, he probably either wanted to get a break or didnt find the perfect fit, i dont think that any semi competent manager wouldve not taken tarzan had they had an opportunity to snatch him (provided they didnt have a jungler locked in already) , that would be insane to me.
I don’t think his reputation was “tarnished” per se, but if you underperform on the biggest stage, it will be noticed. But it’s good he’ll get another shot to go out and perform.
I'd like the 3rd international tournament to be like an invitational where the Worlds winning region hosts some Worlds teams to play in their local league. Would be fun to see how other regions top teams fare on the Worlds winning league. Imagine the shitfest if NA cant beat BRO or NS lol

I just wanted to add something as someone who actively follows pro VALORANT! While LockIn last year was a one-off tournament which, timing wise in LoL terms actually happened BEFORE the winter split (it was the inaugural tournament of the franchising system), Riot holds three international tournaments for the main VCT circuit a year now! This year, they are Masters Madrid and Shanghai (comparable to an MSI in prestige) and finally Valorant Champions (equivalent to Worlds) in Seoul! Masters Madrid already happened (in March).
