Yoh, when I saw them apart I was sure about the Ranger's design but now? Damn I can't say "obvious" anymore, this Isuzu looks the part. I just love the Ranger overall but I can't fault anyone who will choose the Isuzu especially for it's roughness.
@@RichardJoashTan yeah, imagine being able to drive on top of the dunes in Mozambique and just start fishing on beaches that other people cannot easily reach. Range Raptor owners are crying about fuel consumption, they will not be taking their toys to Mozambique.
For me the Isuzu would be my second choice after getting the Ranger, i hated Isuzu for the longest of time because of that engine that you can hear before it arrives but the V-Cross has won my heart the same way the Ranger Wildtrak and Raptor did
I think at first glance the Vcross Isuzu is a better looking bakkie than the new Ranger. The Ranger has all the bells and whistles and is the new kid on the block. What I don’t like on the Ranger is that speedo cluster thing. Then also not quite sure on the 10 speed box. The Bi-turbo puts out 500NM but that’s only between 1750 - 2000RPM. Looks like a 13 year old PS4 gaming kid designed the Ranger speedo cluster. My money would sit with the Isuzu but it’s a difficult choice.
I am honestly head over heels with the Ranger design, I feel we needed this from the previous gen as it was long running. The ditigised everything though does give that "maybe it's too much" for a bakkie but then again the future is headed there. This DMAX when standing next to the Ranger I realised just how well designed it is. I am not a fav of the 10 speed in the Ranger but I'd pick it for everyday driving, the Isuzu is just too stiff.🤔
Proper truck this one, can pick it for tough things any time, just not to live with it and do run arounds, too hard for me but what a beautiful bakkie this is👏🏾👌🏾👌🏾
I'd still take the Ranger, for me its comfortable and it can be reliable if looked after very well💯 (Please don't kill me for saying this😂😂😂) I cant believe I'm warming up to the new Gen Ranger only because i discovered the V6 Diesel was also used in the American F150😅😅.....
But for me, it's the D-Max AT35 because it does thing the Ranger have, AND MORE. And I am glad that I will buy it fully loaded with ARB accessories and it can do EVERYTHING I want.
I am sold on the Ranger. I was from previous gen. Isuzu is too heavy for my lifestyle. At the same time Ranger is equally capable and much more powerful with the 3.0L. Indeed if taken good care of it will take good care of you as well.
Well the AT35 is not yet "officially" confirmed for us in SA unless if I missed something. Looking at the fact that it's the current DMAX with some tweaks it will appeal to Isuzu fans as it's the same strategy done by Ford on the previous Raptor. Overall since I'd put it in the same room with the Raptor, it has a lot to work on, that Raptor is just something else especially priced like other top spec bakkies from other brands.
@Sebuwa M And i bet you either in Australia or Thailand or Philippines they'll have the AT35 version before us, have you also seen how different the Australian Hilux Legend and GR Sport looks from the one we currently have in SA🔥🫣
The first thing I noticed Sebuwa is that the car is noisy mann😢🙆🏿♂️ But then again Isuzu has always been a ruggard bakkie and they not meant to ride like cars. I feel Toyota Nissan and Isuzu wanted to keep it “real” and not really go to town with designs and stuff but wanted you to feel robustness🤦🏾♂️🙃 For me I think I love the BT50 but it’s hard to chose really because I’m all about reliability and value and that P series 🙈seems to be one. But I hate bakkies or cars with too much tech as stuff will go wrong 👹
Hehe Ozem my brother, remember when turbos were introduced in cars, we used to be worried about durability. The phone I am typing on right now is 5 years old with original parts, which was a myth a few years ago. I think is developing in the same way making these new cars more reliable than we anticipate. Isuzu is too hard for me to live with daily, Wildtrak is my choice for that actually with Navara ProXX following closely.🤔
@@sebuwam the Ford Ranger has become a slay queen and it’s not reliable Buti Mpho. I’d buy it over the D’Max if they made quality engines. Engine is the deal breaker for me because if I’m spending 800k on a bakkie, I’m mostly likely not going to change it after 5 but probably keep it longer than that.
When we talk about a tough bakkie...this is one of them...I really like the styling and interior...👌👌👌

Glad that I will buy a fully loaded Isuzu D-Max AT35
It's surely a notch above the V-Cross and very much capable of taking you further than most bakkies👌🏾
My money would go for ISUZU
I won't blame you, that Truck feeling is quite amazing👌🏾

Oddly enough, i really am fond of this bakkie. Other than this, I'd happily buy the latest P-series. Good job man.
Thanks a lot Mzwandile. Lol, you kill me because as much as you love them, it's not enough to pick them. Honestly, I hear you especially on price.

True
Bakkies aren’t made to be soft after all. Rangers and Amaroks have become soft, but they’re quite attractive too.
I understand Ranger is not the toughest, but id I had the money.....I would go for it.... period
That would be my pick as well, Ford focuses on driveability on their cars and that matters a lot to me.🤔🙂
Can you pls do a review on the Peugeot landtrek
Hard to find that one honestly. I would love to but due to it's limited numbers, it's hard to come by🤔
Good review ❤

This one. Mainly because of interior design, overall Navara drives and feels better for everyday use. This is a truck!
