Tiomila is our Barkley Marathons
OC Puisto for the first time at Tiomila in Skellefteå, Sweden in May 2023. How do the park orienteerer amateurs cope with the professional teams? Before hand it was thought that for OC Puisto Tiomila is quite the same as Barkley Marathons for the ultra runners. Getting through the race with a result would be quite an achievement.
In this episode we will see the team practices, travel, routes, running and excitement at Tiomila. In true Barkley Marathons style the organisers will be given a license plate and the human sacrifice will be found. The audience will be taken all the way to Finnish war and Battle of Skellefteå in year 1809.
