Man, I love going to Las Vegas - thanks for this video. What a shame it was on one of those rare stormy-looking days; in over a dozen trips to Las Vegas over a ten year period I've only encountered a thunderstorm here once, in September 2008.
Excellent video quality and superb shots of the strip! In regards to the soundwalls, I think you'd like the brick ones that are on some NC freeways (I-77 in Charlotte; I-85 in Durham; and I-440 in Raleigh). They definitely give a feel of class and sophistication to the highway.
I saw the other video of going on in around Hoover Dam and it looks like a major improvement. So is that going to be the new interstate going through that area? And if it is it looks like a masterful job in highway achevement.
So is this highway no longer going to be a U.S. highway? Are they doing this with all U.S. highways? I heard that in CA they want to make CA-99 into an Interstate.
I think they ought to dump the I-11 plan and sign it as I-7. I know it's not numberically correct w/ the 15 fwy, but you can't beat the irony- given that it goes to Vegas. Good ole lucky 7.
