I want to believe this was supposed to release later, but they decided to release it now during the Tarkov price fiasco.
That's all Battlestate deserves anyway.
The game is just bad and needs like an extra 2-3 years. But as for the people that fell for the hype, they don't want to just admit they let the hype get the best of them, so instead they validate their purchase of this game by saying something like, "No big deal cuz Tarkov bad..."
Just look at the steam reviews. Mostly negative, and the few positive reviews just mention their protest for Tarkov, because they need to say that in order to cope with the fact that they got a bad product.

@@maboilaurence8227 Yes, I agree that Tarkov needs competition. But if the answer leads to just throw money at a game that still needs 3-4 years to cook, that's something I personally don't agree with.
Handsomely rewarding an up and coming game that hasn't proven itself yet to be worthy competition, is how you get situations like The Day Before. If players are willing to pretend that a "mostly negative" review on steam is irrelevant, and would rather be blind to it and hand over money in the name of competition, what they are really supporting is lowering industry standards.
Other developers (rookie and/or seasoned) will look at the success of Gray Zone and see that half baked titles will still be celebrated and supported with lots of money. Thus quality standards are lowered, and its us, the gamers, that get hurt in that.
You want to vote with your wallet for the better game. That's what shapes the industry in a healthy direction. But if your goal is to support a game in hopes that another game fails, it can have negative/unattended consequences.

Tarkov and GZW are two separate games and will thrive individually with their own respective communities. I personally will continue enjoying both. Their only similarities are the fact they're both tactical extraction shooters, they have completely different gameplay loops and adhere to different audiences. The main difference is the lack of a PvP focus in GZW.

Most of the negative reviewers only played for less than half an hour. I remember the first tarkov edition getting something like a 5.5 from gameinformer back in the day, and i would have rated it lower after seeing the gameplay and bugs. Even less if i had only played enough for one or two raids
Its expected since its in alpha. I could care less though. Im still playing it.

I love this game! The persistent open world, extremely realistic environments and tactical game play create a rewarding gaming experience.
If they get the formula worked out then this has so much potential.
You can apply the same principle to snow, desert or urban maps.
It could evolve almost infinitely.

It's probably a good idea to patrol with more spacing in between. Crossing that wheat field, you shouldn't use staggard column but rather, buddy bounding.
Especially if it will get a full controller layout and as well if it ends up coming to consoles would love to play this on my ps5 for sure but if it had controller support on pc id buy it
From the trailer, and what I'm hearing 4090 users say about their FPS, I'd say if this came to consoles it would have to be via interpretive dance...otherwise they'd only be able to render about 4 pixels.

They prioritized money over a good experience for its player base. They scrapped the Q4 release date to capitalize on Nikita's breakdown, not giving a single duck about their paying customers. Of course the game wouldn't hold up like in the showcase where there were 30some streamers playing on a controlled environment vs. a thousand players overloading the servers and they knew that. But yeah keep giving money to unfinished products, it worked so well so far, no?
Hope this game brings dedicated servers at some point with mods!
Been following made finger games from shadowgun deadzone when I was in school and now I'm a college grad , this game looks amazing can't wait to play it
I've made 5 friends in 5 hours of playing this game. That is unheard of in many games, well done guys.
Make the character's movement realistic. You should be able to read and feel every step. Now the character seems to be riding on wheels or sliding on ice. Weapon firing should look and feel much angrier and more aggressive. Need normal movement speed while just healing and taking food. Add extra acceleration on double shifter. And inertia. If it's not tied to pacing, it'll be sliding again.

needs a bit more optimization. day 1 of the game has a lot of network, queue and performance issues but that's to be expected for an early access release. This should be fixed in time.

Quick question, is there a way to play around with the terminal ballistics demo level that was featured a couple of months ago?
I love the game! I've been playing with friends since it was released and we're really enjoying it and we're already hooked.
But the development team still has a lot of work to do.
Some servers run extremely badly, you have rubberbanding and severe lags and sometimes CTDs. QOL features such as a sorting function in the stash are still missing and the system for calling a helicopter is also still immature, as you often can't call the helicopter when there are a lot of birds in the air. I would like to see a queue where you can log in and then be shown when you can expect the helicopter to arrive. So you can use your time sensibly and don't have to keep trying to call the helicopter without success.
The loot system is also quite unexciting, at least at the beginning, you don't really find anything special but you just fill up your rucksack to earn a few dollars. But fortunately the prices at the merchants are fair and you get a decent reward for completing quests. I was afraid that it would be as mercilessly hard and exhausting as Tarkov and I'm very glad that it hasn't become a Tarkov clone. I love this mixture of Tarkov and Arma, there's a map and a compass, you can set waypoints and you even have coordinates! Very, very cool, I love it.

Because you can re-equip yourself, which also costs something, but you can get over it and don't have to spend hours playing with bad weapons, which aren't really any fun, just to get a few dollars again in agony.
As I said, it's just the right mix for me, so you can have fun with the game alongside your job.
And when the servers are running, it's really fun.
I really like the game, but please improve Weber's performance quickly, as this is probably the biggest criticism at the moment.

@@Tilt_TM gunplay feels nice, i agree the anims are kinda out of place, feels like cod anims, the ai isnt bad at all, slightly dummer than tarkov skavs but the sound design feels good tbh and so does the gunplay. it feels more real and authentic and not like im shooting a gun without a stock like tarkov. IMO its alot better than tarkov was on day 1
You kinda need like a high end 30 or 40 series card to run it well. With my 4080, and DLSS/FG on; I get about 160 fps on 1440 with everything maxed out but it does stutter when you are in the helicopter.
Its a bit barebones but having a PVE mode out the gate is perfect for guys like me who want a more chill solo experience and the fact that your shared character works for both PVE and PVP servers is great when your boys are online. I do wish you have more inventory slots though on your character.

No one said it was a finished product and even the overall positive content creators who got to play earlier advised people to wait and mentioned the performance issues.

the game just released, chill out, and europe servers are on max capacity
I played a couple runs (US central PVE) and didn't see any issues at all. Not even any lag. I did notice, however, that the game released slightly earlier on steam than they had originally announced. Like by an hour or so. So it's possible that all of the servers weren't up and running right away.
