I heard this song on WSMA Christian radio, I was driving at the time and thought maybe I should pull over because the tears were flowing. What an anointed song! I like to start my day with this song. It helps me put my mind in line with His will where it should be and reminds me that only Jesus can provide us with what we need.
In THIS FLESH DWELLETH NO GOOD THING. THEIR IS BUT “1” THAT IS GOOD SAITH THE LORD JESUS Christ THAT IS “GOD”.
This song brings me to tears everytime. When I was 13 years old, I attended a predominantly white church in the late 60's, Bethel Revival Church, 701-703 Mass Ave, Roxbury, Ma. As a young girl, we would often sit in the back of the church, comparing our dresses and shoes, just chatting through the service. I can't forget that Sunday night when the Bullock Brother's (their fathers) walked into the church. I immediately asked one of the girls, who are these men. They explained to me they were singers. When they opened their mouths, you couldn't talk to me anymore. Oh, this was what I was looking for coming from the US Virgin Islands, some Black Gospel Music in my soul. I was completely blown away. I told my mother who was attending Bethel Bible College at the time. I want to go to their church. That was impossible at the time, but I learned that Minister's son would occationally go over to their church for music lessons which was just about a block away from our church. I actually begged my mother to go with Denise, just to sit and listen. Well I eventurally joined the children's choir at that church. I later learned that most of the children on the choir were mostly Bullocks children. Forty plus years later, I was in Pelhem, Ma. singing in a church there, when the Bullock Brothers walked in...Oh, I felt like that little girl again...the only name I remembered was Richard...Now it's just a blessing to hear the children minister. God bless them! Love your ministry.
What a blessing to hear your comments, Harrella. We traveled so much and worked so hard through the years, we never really knew who was being blessed, or whose life we were touching (I was with the fathers AND the sons; and back in 1989 we became a joint ministry). Thank you. At 86 and 88 respectively, my father, George, and his brother, Richard, are still leading the Bullock Brothers. We all need a healing through Christ our Lord and Savior. This song brings tears and joy every time I listen to it. This song is written to bring you closer to our Father God, his son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I know I feel his presence through listening to this song. God Bless You All
