I have to tell this story. A few days before I saw this video, my mom’s Christian baptismal status was bothering me. I wasn’t sure if she was ever baptized when she was young by a trinitarian church. I knew she was baptized decades ago as a Mormon, but as we know, that doesn’t count 😉. I then saw this video and the topic of layperson baptism. I immediately researched it and drove down to see my mom (who was in hospice). I was meant to hear this Q&A. She was still clinging to life. I baptized her with my family present. Three days later she passed. Thank you so much Father Joe for talking about these subjects.

Let me start with an FYI by saying this is Carrie. I answer from JIBM and when FJK responds himself it is from his Fr Joe Krupp account. Shave it or Save it: Fr Joe arrived to Holy Family in 2018 and we were in the midst of preparation for a major renovation of our church worship space. When building began the projected 8 month building project in late 2019 Fr Joe stopped shaving "until the project was finished." Due to the lockdown the project faced delays and set backs so by the time the church reopened his beard was... mighty! So we did what Catholics do... we took the opportunity to have some fun and raise some funds for the parish & school with a "Shave it or Save it" campaign. It was a tight competition and in the end the SHAVE IT's prevailed and the beard came off on a LIVE broadcast! And raised very near $50k for our church & school! Thank you for following Fr Joe and supporting his ministry!
