Hey Thanks Man! I am 7 Minutes in, and I am Glad you are tackling this Subject because it really is Fascinating, I just want to Know More, I want to Really Understand it, I want to wrap my Head Around it, so what book do you think will give me the most information on Ross. Back when I felt better and had more energy, I fancied I'd learn the Old Languages and Read things buried deep in old Libraries Lost Knowledge just waiting to be Found before the Ravages of Time Catch Up with it. And Maybe I am not that man, and nothing more than a Pipe Dream! BUT! Maybe, you are that Man! I bet a Library in the Ross Historical District in Tain Ross County has something in an ancient tongue near forgotten that could Fill in Some Blanks, but only Leading to more Interesting Questions...

It bothers me a little that the old family seat at Balnagown Castle was surrendered due to debts and fell into destitution. I wonder what stories those stones could tell. I found that a foreign businessman had purchased it in 1978 and has done some work since. It's good to know that it's still there, but I would like to know it stayed with those so tied to the land.

Seems like you are missing out on what the War Master Fearchar did after Galloway once he became the Kings Right Hand and the Earl of Ross! As I Read it, With his Personal Armada and the Hard Fighting Men of Ross-shire with his Cousin the King's Troops he made War on the Viking Lords in and Around Scotland, Blockading them One by One, as the War Master Crushed them One by One, even Read he's been 1st to Crash Upon that Sheild Wall! Greatly Expanding Ross-shire like into the Isle of Lewis, and Making who would become to be known as the Ross' rich with Viking Gold, the Richest and Most Powerful Family in the Highlands for Generations! So I read once a Upon a Time. But I hear thing different, like I heard Fearchar's Wife was the Queen of Mann, but you don't mention that but say his Daughter Married the King of Mann. All the Information is Scattered Upon so many conflicting sources, it would sure be nice if it was all compiled together in one nice big picture, for I would love to look at that. Its like I am piecing it together just a few facts at a time, with quite the Puzzle Left..
