    Hope this comment helps those who are confused on why the Steam version of Muse Dash is cheaper than the Switch version. The Nintendo Switch version is $29.99 and includes all the extra DLC songs in it. On Steam the game is $2.99, but that does not include the extra songs, only the base 40 songs. The extra songs are available for purchase separately in one pack and will cost an additional $29.99. Currently, the Nintendo Switch version of Muse Dash appears to be an older version of the game. So it's missing a couple base songs and three songs packs. Those will be available in future updates for free. The Steam version looks to be in line with the mobile version of the game, and you are able to transfer your saves between the PC and mobile versions. DLC purchases are not transferable though. I'm not sure if the mobile version will be getting free songs packs in the future, but I believe that all future song pack releases will be free updates for Switch and Steam (if you purchased the DLC bundle).
    As an additional reminder, the game is currently on a special launch sale price on Switch and Steam.

      If you have a 3DS, I'd highly recommend picking up Rhythm Heaven [DS] and Rhythm Heaven Megamix (primarily Megamix since it has most minigames from RH [DS]). It's my absolute favorite Nintendo IP and its director has stated that a Switch game will be made if there's enough demand for one, so there's also that if you end up getting hooked.

  • @MrAmu11
    @MrAmu11 Před 5 lety +3

    I wish PM Studios published this so we could get a (reasonable) physical release the game. IDK if $30 is a fair price for this cause idk if it has all the songs from the mobile (and more)/ the amount of songs included but it's been on my radar since I first saw it coming to the Switch.

    • @justonegamr
      @justonegamr  Před 5 lety +16

      So I checked in on the mobile version to see how far ahead it is compared to the Switch release. The mobile version has 40 songs under default music, while the Switch version has 37. The mobile version currently has three DLC packs that aren't in the Switch version. So the console version is missing some songs. Plus the mobile version has a different title screen. I'm assuming this stuff applies to the PC version too.
      Switch and PC will have a time exclusive skin for Marija. Switch has all previous DLC songs already included, with free updates for future DLC songs. The PC version will only include the base game with DLC packs being purchased separately. twitter.com/XDNetworkTwi/status/1119059997265055745
      I only purchased one DLC pack in the mobile version and the current total cost for me to unlock all the songs in the game via the "Just as planned" option is $22.99. If I were to buy all the remaining packs separately at $2.99 a piece, it would be $35.88 in total. So I'd say some money is saved going the Switch route, especially if they stick to the free updates thing for future song packs. Plus Switch has touch and button control support. Though, I'm still a bit iffy with the button controls and highly prefer using the touch screen. Still early though as I have much more experience with touch compared to buttons. Nonetheless, I'd say Switch is a perfectly fine version of the game and the $29.99 price tag is fair since it includes all the DLC and will have free DLC updates.

    Can you play with touch controls with joycon detatched?
    Cause I hate when games force me to connect joycon to the Switch while I just wanna play with touch controls. As soon as you detatch the Joycon from the system, the game thinks you wanna play with them in table top instead playing with touch controls. I believe Taiko no Tatsujin did this (?), ugh.
    The Switch feels so much better in hands without Joycon and it's way easier to play then, just holding it like a tablet.

    • @justonegamr
      @justonegamr  Před 5 lety +1

      As of right now, I probably prefer the PC version. I think the way you want to play the game should determine the version you should get. If you want touch only, mobile is a good option since it's cheap. If you're looking to go controller only, then PC is the way. The Switch just feels off for me whenever I try to play it with a controller in docked mode. Not too terrible with easy songs, but once I start playing more advanced songs, the timing just feels off. I do find myself playing slightly better if I'm undocked, or with the touch screen. So it just comes down to how you want to play. If the Switch had the precise timing I feel with the PC version for controller play, then it would definitely be Switch. If price is also a factor, then I would say PC or mobile, since you can just get the base game for a cheap price without opting in for the DLC songs.

    • @xeslayer102

      When you play the game on different platforms, it does become noticeable. I first played Muse Dash on mobile, so when I played on Switch, it took some getting used to. Then I started playing the PC version, and that kind of changed everything up again. So my case is a bit unique. The Switch is a completely fine version. Timing is something you can eventually get used to. The main factor for me was really just the ability to transfer my progress from mobile to PC. So I think as a new player, you should be fine starting with any platform.
