      Another infamous Buckman Bridge bringing traffic and urban sprawl to Green Cove Springs. 😢

    I love it here but afraid of growth from a interchange and house prices going up to much. I like the small town feel. If it gets to busy I will Missouri park

    This video help me make my decision!! Wow, I'm looking to move to Jacksonville , FL by March 2023. Was looking for a nice and safe area for myself. I believe I've found it. I'll do myself a favor and visit this location in February. This video really gave me chills and a good vibe, I can't wait to see it up close.
    Thank you 100x over, for this video.

      So I am from GCS and I left in 2007 and let me tell you... I was so blessed to grow up so diverse. My classmates were white, blk, hispanic, asian and we had absolutely NOT divisions and nothing separating us from loving one another. If you're raising kids, trust me, they'll adapt and you will NEVER have to worry about any form of racism. I'm so lucky to be from there. I have another friend, whom is also an African American and she ended up in LA, we still text daily and she told me, "I'm so thankful I grew up in GCS aren't you?"

    Could I get a decent studio apartment on a $70k salary? I'm looking to move from PA with a fully remote job.

      I mean, there are some apartment complexes but not many. GCS is a great place to raise a family but being single there and alone will definitely get dull. I'm originally from there, however its somewhat close to Saint Augustine which is AMAZING! St Aug is basically like a European city and tons of fun things to do. $70k per year will get you something nice in that area. I'm originally from GCS. I never could have ever imagined to read comments of people interested in my old hometown. I wish you a whole lot of luck. I miss GCS daily!

      @@richardfloridaman Thanks! I'm looking around in St John's County. I'm also looking to rent out an Aibnb to test drive the area before I commit to an apartment and get locked into a lease.

      @@jonathan6480 Yeah I def don't see GCS as being a place you'd enjoy, its beautiful, but def a spot to raise children. There's not enough development and no urbanization in GCS and you'll see that when you get there. St Augustine (St Johns County) on the other hand, man, I moved there and rented my first apartment in 2005, best times of my life, I left St Augustine in 2010 and Florida in general in 2016. Miss it daily, but, there's no money there. Nonetheless, good luck bro!

      @@richardfloridaman Did you have to deal with a lot of flooding in St. Augustine? I was going to move to Fort Myers before Ian hit it. Miami seems too fake to me.

    • @richardfloridaman
      @richardfloridaman Před rokem

      @@jonathan6480 Miami is ghetto. South beach is tourist zone but cross that bridge and you’re in a war zone. And as far as flooding, yes. Green cove springs floods bad and in the past few hurricanes there was flooding and you can find that on CZcams. Same with St Augustine. The whole north east is full of water. Ponds, rivers, creeks and swamps and not to mention the St. John’s river. Flooding will happen in every part of Florida. Type “hurricane irma green cove springs” just to be a more recent idea.
