  • Finding Subjects to photograph isn’t always easy. Especially in locations we know well. I have visited my local woodlands many times and during this visit, I am sharing some ways I find subjects all around me as I walk through the landscape. I am also sharing the photographs I take, my thoughts, compositions and camera settings.
You may also find his video interesting where I show you how I photograph art in the landscape. 300mm Landscape photography?

I absolutely love this approach. It's an amazing accomplishment and shows your photographic eye, to be able to find creative and artistic compositions, in what one may consider the mundane world around us. Magic and creativity is all around us. We just have to look and imagine.

Thanks John. The Fungi is my least favourite photograph. My personal favourite is the Fern at the end.

Nice video, and as a keen botanist, it makes me smile to see a photographer enjoying the small-scale interest of the woodland ecology, noticing the beauty in the ordinary. Do look out for slime-moulds. They can be stunning, can look quite surreal, and most people are unaware they exist.

Thank you. Very kind comments. It’s important as a landscape photographer on CZcams to show other that you do not need travel to exotic locations, there is plenty to photograph on your local patch. Glad you enjoyed the video
