Thumbs up if you'll miss these trains.
there is no way you can miss a underground stock that is the same as the 1972 stock..................................
321 Bus route They aren’t entirely the same.........................
Noddy Mac ok..........................
Mustie_ YT true just pay a lot of money so the 1972 stock will be repainted TI the original 1967 stock XD didn’t think of doing that lol
I nevered ride the 1967 stock before
The trains of my childhood :( R.I.P
Were the trains manually operated or ATO protected?
@@MalaysianAviator737-8 ATO
Sadly I never got to ride the 1967 stock trains
Same. Though I like 2009 stock more
don't worry 72 stock is still a thing
Always a guaranteed good sleep , missing your station so late for work and late getting home , as you are rocked , moved and enveloped by the sound and random movements !
This part of the route was always very fast. A lot of the time at full capacity towards Kings X it would have to slow it self down a few times. There was also like a roaring echo caused by resonance. Miss these trains, they had character.
i hate those old trains lol

@@TheUnknown313 bruh they aren’t (s)
Whats resonance?
Would u want it to come bavk
Really miss the '4' seating arrangements. These things were still fast too.
By the way, anyone reading, I don't remember these trains doing it but the Piccadilly line trains, when pulling out of a station sometimes jerk, with a loud 'thock' sound. What's that? The doors not resetting? Safety feature probably?
Pity there wasn't a Piccadilly train exiting Finsbury Park at the same time, you see it opposite in the tunnel for a while, quite close, freaks people out I think.
Nice vid.
Sorry I'm 9 years late, but here's an answer: That jerk is a problem on many different lines. Usually it is to do with someone leaning on the doors and therefore the train stopping accelerating, as the doors were no longer fully closed.
@@ElectroRailNo worries. 9 years, still about. All makes sense, cheers, 'thocks' still happen a lot, oh well. I've grown to like the new Vict stock looks wise and the performance is crazy. G-force defying torque and braking like off a supercar.
Piccadilly line needs a reboot. Sometimes I think the drivers are using pedal power...
On another note, I miss the D78 stock off the District line. I haven't been to America but when I was on those it felt like I was on a New York subway.
To boot, I have a functional HO model of the District R Stock 1949 to 83, the one with the curved bottomed sides, what a beauty.
See you in another 9 years haha, all the best.
@@LikeMindedIncident Jesus, still active after 9 years? Now that is a CZcams veteran
I miss the four seat transverse seating too. Now just the Bakerloo line and that hardly gets up to speed! Metropolitan too but where's the bumpiness, nah far too smooth!
@@LikeMindedIncident Are literally all tubes brand new now? Or does the Central Line still has the '92 stock?

Great video. I never actually got to ride these trains before they got upgraded
Bruuuhh..sorry man
.the loud thunderous noise and the scary motor were like music. I miss them so
Same and RIP
I rode them when i was like 2 / 3 / 4 years old but don't have any other memories except a time I went on a school trip and happened to hop on this stock.
Your profile picture made me cry 😂 LOL
I wouldn't call what happened an upgrade, as that's quite subjective, I prefer the term replaced.
Very fond memories although i seem to remember countless problems commuting in the mornings during the 80’s. Big respect for the 09 stock, their frequency and speed are amazing and i really miss living in walthamstow just so i could ride them all the way home
Some of the 1967 stock had ex Northern line 1972mk1 stock cars converted to be compatible and placed in the middle as they did not have automatic driving equipment.
The 1972mk1 stock was basically a crew operated version of the 1967 stock.
The 1972mk1s were ordered in a hurry to help out the 1959 stock to cope with high demand for Northern line services and there were not enough trains.
They were rushed off the factory production line, hence why they look identical to each other but the 72mk1s had longer windows, guard control panels and fluorescent lights.
is it just me or do the 1972/73 stock trains not have this same vivid sound despite the same underlying structure
No the 72 stock sounds the same
They're vastly different
The 72 stock probably don’t reach the same speeds as the bakerloo line as the 67 did on the Victoria line. That’s prob why they sound different
F me can’t believe I made this Neeky comment 4 years ago 😂😂
xD 🤣
Awwwww how I miss the 1967 stock... I grew up on these!
the 1967 stock have so much character
And have a more powerful engine than the 72 trains
@@Great_WesternTVFan u mean traction motor?
@@Enviri Yes. And there's other things why the 1967 stock is more powerful than the 72 ones
Probably because the 1967 stock is ATO
@@Great_WesternTVFan not really as both were uing the same LT115 DC motor. The 1967s appeared faster since they operated with ATO rather than the manually driven 1972 stocks.
Great video .
Miss these 1967 trains 😭.
They could have transferred them to the bakerloo
Yeah. These were in a lot better condition than the 1972 stock. WAY more faster as well
Dont worry.. we still have the bakerloo line 😁😁

4:03 the best part for me
The announcements on this one sounded so relaxing compared to the current ones.
Edit: anyone know whose voice it is?
It’s almost asmr
They sound unenthusiastic like the central line 😐
emma clarke. same as on the central line
same voice for the d stock and 1972 stock
Emma Clarke for the old 1967 stock, and Sarah Parnell for the current 2009 stock
Even these were in better nick than the Bakerloo line's newer 1972 stock have ever been. They should have kept them longer than they did. They were good reliable trains.
So where the D stock the best that london undergrond had
You have to admit, the 2009 stock benefitted the Victoria line way more than the 72. The Victoria line now reaches 36 trains an hour during peak times. That would not have been able on the 72 stock
@@jay-ti5js you mean 67 stock
Tube Time What was the maximum number of trains per hour the Victoria Line reached when it was entirely 1967 Stock?
I agree. They have a more powerful motor I noticed
I miss my childhood tube train.

@MitsukoshiProduction i kno :) thanks for ratings :D
I do miss the 1967 stock. Its great we still have the 1972 stock on the bakerloo line
A few former 1972mk1 Northern Line stock are also on the Bakerloo line as half units and complete trains. They have the black rubber soles on the door windows and the windows are longer than the mk2 set
@@oludotunjohnshowemimo434 ooooohh I acc didn’t know that, next time I take the Bakerloo line, I will have to look out for that. Thank you for the info.
@BusesinLondon96 thanks
Love how she says Brixton in the announcements
I miss these trains :( I agree they had lots of character (but so do the 09s :D)
Which stock is using now on the Victoria line and in 2011?
Now it is the 2009TS, in 2011 it was a mix of the 1967TS and 2009TS trains.
2009TS
From Late 2011, there are all 2009 stocks. But between Late 2009 to Early 2011, there are mixed
@polishslacker bcuz it just came out of Northumberland Park Depot
that is the bakerloo line and inside , the train where the line was .it was blue
victoria line had it first
This is 1967 ex Victoria line stock.
The Bakerloo line uses the 1972 stock.
Most are mk2s with a few ex Northern line 1972mk1 trains converted to driver only operation and refurbished.
They are combined as half units with the mk2s as one train.
I can see that victoria line was supposed too look like dear old Bakerloo, that is before they changed to Bombardier Movia aka 2009 stock.
I Saw This Train On the Victoria line When I Was Five
Some people want there to be a new one built at Northumberland Park-near the depot
@meridian222017 thank you :)
I know the first one (Seven Sisters) is cut-and-cover, but are there any open air stations?
Seven Sisters is deep level. All Victoria Line stations are, and there are no open air stations on the line at all.
Northumberland Park depot is the only part of the Victoria Line in the open air
I miss this train stock
It would have been insane if the bakerloo line had the 2009 stock though.
I like the north bound of 1967 from Kings Cross to Highbury and Islington, because it’s going up diagonally North East and you hear the long sound of the engine, I did record it on my iPhone and put it on laptop, but my laptop is broken, but I will go and fix it and try to put on CZcams as well, you will know what I mean with the long sound of the engine.
It means great video X2K9
Those old tube are so old school
I wished they brought the 1967 stock of the Victoria line train on the central line, they did for the short time, but I wished they put them on the central line, but the Victoria line were automatic, the signals would not work, I like the 1962 stock, but I wished we had some 1967 or 1972 on the central line like the Northern line did
@astock5000 Thanks :D i must of been typing to fast lool
Shame you didn't film the whole journey to Brixton
The more powerful version of the 72 stock
Are you sure? I think they have the same acceleration datas.
@@Michael-jv1mq do they,? I've heard this ones more powerful, and I remember it being less jittery. But who knows
@@bb-3653 Maybe that's right. Because the 67TS can reach 50 mph. But the fact is that it has the same traction control. Maybe it has one throttle position more. The 72TS definetely has a shunting pos, series pos and a parallel pos.
@@Michael-jv1mq iirc I heard the 72 stock is slower cuz the Bakerloo line running tunnels are older and can’t support faster speeds like the Victoria line tunnels can
The bakerloo line has a max speed limit of 45mph but the trains can do over 50, they rarely hit 45 though because the stations are close together
Memories from childhood, wish these stayed instead of the 1972 tube stock.
Kinda agree. The 67 stocks were far more powerful than the 72 trains
@@Great_WesternTVFan I believe the 1972 stock could get up the speeds as the 1967 stock. The main reason for the 1972 getting slower since they are manually driven on the Bakerloo line.
they should bring these back if you ask me!
@@Great_WesternTVFan The 1967 stock is objectively one of the best tube stocks in history. They were groundbreaking when introduced, especially considering they were the first trains to use ATO. 2009 stock is alright but i don't think anyone really cares about them.
@@clemthomas6964 Well they did have asbestos in them which is extremely dangerous so maybe the trains shouldn't be brought back... did really like the trains tho, im gonna miss these
@@ElectroRail The asbestos would be under the train, not inside so there wouldn’t be any risk to the passengers
@@matthewsmith2787 I know that, but the thing is that means they're gonna have to be very careful with any units that they are scrapping, so that they don't disturb it.
I miss 1967 stock😭
Wait this victoria changed into 2009 stock
Didnt they used to run on bakerloo line before the 72 stock?
No. 67 Stock were always on the Victoria Line, and ran on ATO from Day 1 of the Line operating
Except when they went to the Hainault loop on the Central Line as new for testing
I think the Woodford to Hainault route
Es ruckelt und die Tuube rast durch den Tunnel wie 2010 einfach herrlich ;)))
The Victoria line is not entirely underground as Northumberland Park depot is above ground. The Waterloo and City is the only tube line to run entirely underground as the depot is also underground. Great video by the way, I traveled on these a lot before they retired.
no victoria line is underground aswell apart from the Northumberland park depot

Woah it’s quite bumpy to highbury & islington
I remember once I was bumped off my seat. And I'm not that light!
Is a 1967 stock
I do!
Much better than that pile of rubbish on the line right now, those 1967 stock has better seating, better quieter PA, and were built to last another 40 years.
oh please
They were good but the 2009 Stock is a GOOD replacement for them. They suit modern needs for the Victoria Line likes extra trains per hour at peak hours
36 trains per hour would not have been possible if 1967 Stock stayed!
Chiltern Transport Productions nah I prefer the 67 stock
Harry Foley They’re more hellfire, definitely. But as they had to go, I think the right tube stock were chosen to replace them
What we have now is operationally better but not nearly as fun as before 2011
Chiltern Transport Productions so your saying you like the 67 stock but at the same time you don’t?🤔

@@alpzepta As i Thai person, i absolutely don't have a single clue why would anyone be interested in our newer trains. (and including the fact that they were delayed for years.) If you pause at 0:17, the train says Brixton and on the side walls, you can see a blue line going above the station name. You can also see the little blue “Victoria line” banner on the front door window.
When you enter the train, the poles are literally blue. On the Bakerloo line, they are brown. At 0:41, the announcer literally says “This is a Victoria line train to Brixton.”
Every clue in the video screams this is 100% the Victoria line, yet somehow you still manage to conclude that it’s not the Victoria line and that it’s the Bakerloo line… how do you arrive to such a conclusion?
