We had one during the 1970s always played so beautifully & those soft touch sensors were state of the art at the time. ❤️

I still have mine I bought in the late 70's. Still mint condition. Mine is a bit odd because it has all red LEDs. Maybe for the US market. Put a Stanton 681EEE cartridge on it.

There were two versions of GA 312. You just happen to have the never one, modified to red LEDs. Older ones had 6V bulbs.

On my GA312 I changed the original GP400 cartridge for a Pickering XV15-400e some 40 years ago. By now the 400e stylus has been replaced 2 times. (I 've got one spare stylus left over for the rest of my life...😊). The original GP400 spherical stylus would wear out within 3...4 years, these didn't survive 1500+ hours playing time, apart from yielding a scratchy ticking sound starting from day 1 on.

Just decided to resurrect my 312, but hit a minor problem: switch on, nothing happens.
I found that power reaches the primary coil of the internal transformer, but could measure no output from the secondary one; so presumably there's a break in the coils. So, replace it.
But what SHOULD the output voltage be? 9v AC, 12, 20... what? Only when I know that can I hunt around for a new transformer. Can anyone help please?
