Yeah i love how capcom has created the monsters to have biological similarities and have a way to make sense from a fantasy science perspective instead of just “magic” for how they exist
@@GuildMasterKaitoI remember a bit of analysis that maybe Brachydios was a rooting type of animal before it adopted the slime because thats where mold usually occurs. Makes a lot of sense considering Barroth is also a rooter specifically an insectivore.
Imo, Brachydios is a borderline Elder Dragon level monster. Its intro cutscene back in MH3U shown the Brute Wyvern to withstand Agnaktor's signature fire beam with minimum damage to its body, despite the attack pushed the Brachy to a corner. Agnaktor who's known to have lava armor as when the lava coating on its body turned cold to increase its defense on top of its own hard carapace, proven to be useless against Brachy's slime explosions. In MH World Iceborne, Brachydios is also known to took down Uragaan despite the hammer chin monster is famous for it to create its own explosive ores which they detonate with their own body parts. Yet such adaptation still cannot withstand against the kinetic force of Brachydios' slime explosions. Makes the power jump between Brachydios to Raging Brachydios more sense. It and Savage Deviljho are definitely the top two strongest Brute Wyverns of the New World.
Yeah brachydios is definitely in the upper echelons for apex monsters, raging brachydios even more so, id like to see a fight between brachy and jho one day too, would be sick
@@GuildMasterKaitoyeah and if I remember correctly I think there is some sort of Monster Hunter adventure place thing where Brachydios literally fought against Nergigante and do so without fear.
The slime element was introduced in 3U with brachydios then in MH4 it was changed to blast element and other monsters were given that element to add to their moveset such as teostra

Except Teostra was in MH2 and introduced blast first. Brachys blast wasn't changed to blast ailment until later titles. It was considered it's own.
