    Maverick Aoko is telling the truth. This coincides with what I have always said that there is nothing and there have never been anything like gender equality. A man and a woman can never be equal. I mean how? In fact, equality is utopia, the world is not equal, let people use their eyes. I advocate for justice instead, not equality because treating 'already unequal' people equally means discriminating others.

    I might not agree on her way of put out the information but I agree with her… victimization is a trend now, and women do feel entitled instead of working to prove their merit. Equity feminism is indeed the way to go.

    As much as I agree with most of the things she said. I totally disagree with her perception when it comes to child birth and totally placing all the responsibilities on females. Many scenarios can result in a baby . Sometimes we agree on having a baby and a man runs after. Furthermore you might go on maternity leave but in no way does that mean your male counterparts will be more effective and by virtue deserve better position. Equity is good and women having victim mentality is wrong. That been said doesn’t mean man a superior, which is what she said. And woman fighting to be recognised in accordance to their ability is not victim mentality. An area of interest would be to look at her relationship with woman in her life, I believe it might explain a lot.

    Its a pity I am only watching the show today, however women nowadays are also making it in engineering and industrious fields. But the unfortunate thing is men or boy children are always put on the back banner and are not afforded opportunities as girls. It's almost like boys have to fight for themselves without any support. What makes it worse is that these boys are mostly raised by single mothers as well.
    Let's also put programs that supports a boy child out there, I appeal to Men out there to step in

    Hiyo STEM argument ya men is confirmation bias. Men are socialized from childhood to lean towards STEM and women towards nurture type careers. Example in mixed families girls are expected to do the domestic chores like cooking. So you can't say men naturally gravitate towards STEM as if society hasn't set those expectations by the way we raise boys and girls.

    • @kimutaironoh243
      @kimutaironoh243 Před 3 lety +4

      You absolutely have no idea what the hell you are talking about these differences in men and women are naturally inherent and not a construct of socialization. The scientific fact is that men and women are radically different from each other from physically, mentally and psychologically, it's even been detailed in neurology textbooks that have found that male brains and different from female brains. One particular study they conducted highlighted in that book is that they observed a baby boy and a baby girl, a stage in their lives where it's impossible to start socially constructing them, what they found is that the baby boy stared at tractor parts while the baby girl would stare at faces. It's this difference among many from infancy stage that replicate themselves later on in life when men and women make life choices particularly on careers, that's why men tend to navigate towards Engineering, Computer science, Finance and high corporate business, Aircraft mechanics etc which are high skill jobs that fetch a lot of money while women navigate towards being office receptionists, nurses, social workers, customer care agents, Air stewardesses etc. this social construction argument being the cause for gender disparities has constantly been debunked and for your info. all I'm saying is not a contentious issue in the scientific community, they have known this for 3 decades now after extensive scientific research.
