- I could not find a decent recording of this song anywhere but a friend of mine had a clean mono copy on a CD so I made a nice stereo version.
This has a lot of power added to the song. It's my favorite Chiffon song and I really work hard on expanding the stereo imaging on this one. I put a 12 String acoustic guitar on the left and an Epiphone electric 6 on the right. Accented some piano notes, and added strings on the Yamaha keyboard. Added more pronounced drums
on the left, reworked vocals and a tambourine. Hope you oldies fans like it! It sounded nice in my headphones on the final mix. - Hudba
In my humble opinion I believe this music is a lot better than today's music. Does anyone agree?
yes 330 million Americans do
Yes
Hands down absolutely 🙌🏻👍🏻👏🏻
Without question yes so much better❤
Today's "music" is mostly trash. No craft. I sincerely doubt that any teen of today will hear a contemporary song decades from now and feel the joy I am experiencing right now listening to this well-crafted classic. Today's music lacks joy, romance and meaning. There are a few exceptions. Very few.
KENN, THANK-YOU SO VERY MUCH ! SUMMER OF '63, WRITTEN BY CAROLE KING & GERRY GOFFIN , AND PRODUCED BY THE TOKENS --------IN DENVER, ON 950AM, KIMN, THIS SONG WAS ON THE HIT PARADE VIRTUALLY ALL SUMMER LONG . ------------MJL, 76 Y/O
Don't know who was writing songs for the ladies' groups but it feels so great to sing them!
Carole King and Gerry Goffin, mostly. That's Carole on the piano.
These ladies had it. I remember them so clearly from when I was 15. Now, at 73, this still rocks.
Yes I loved this song and had it in a 45 record the girl groups were amazing still love it and I am also 73 years young
I declare! 😁😄😀🙃😉
@@denesepoole3102 I’m about to turn 76 and yes, these ladies were something else. This is a favorite, favorite tune.
@@rascal0175 It would be difficult 4 Me to pick a Fave. That said---Wow! How many Great "girl groups" hit the radio?
@@robertakerman3570 I won’t pick a favorite girl group, though I admit to loving the sound of the Chiffons. The Mo’town ladies were “Out of sight” as the kids used to say. How many made it to the radio? I don’t know, but the ones that did were spectacular. I will speculate the girl groups were as popular as the male groups but were not given full recognition for their accomplishments. We knew back in the day that this was great music made in great times. I’m 76 and have seem much of the world, nothing outshined that experience.
Thank you ladies, wherever you are, one and all. You made the world a happier place and we are still playing your music.
"Cinematic Music Enhancement" did a fantastic job. Somewhere there's a vault w/ the "Masters" in it. C. King should be proud of this.
So glad I grew up in this era listening to this kind of fab music.
I fell in love with their voices as a teenaged rebel. I'm still a rebel.
😊👍
Best music ever!!!❤❤❤
The sax solo in this recording is one of my favorites, the enchancement really brought out the harmonies of the singers. Wonderful! thanks!!
Just a guess but it's Steve Douglas on Bari sax same as the bari sax solo on He's a Rebel -- which IS my favorite.
What about booby keys?
Not sure or if it's my hearing but the sax solo appears to be more muted/overridden on this enhanced version but there does appear to be greater clarity and sounds brighter overall.
The Chiffons were my favorite female group a long with The crystals The Ronnettes, and of course The supremes.. The Beatles loved these artists and me too!!!!
One of my favorite 60s songs! How can you not boogie with this? I have it on repeat!
Hey OP! Just read the effort you put in to giving us this delightfully crisp version of an indescribably wonderful song. Thank you.
Just amazing ❤❤
Summer of '63, I was 16 y/o, heading to my senior year. OMG, I loved this !! I'd always sing-along.. Goffin / King, at their very best. ---------------------------WolfSky9
Wolfsky9 man your old. I was only twelve.. in 1963 :) gotta love those girl groups.
Sir : 70 y/o !! Yep--THAT'S OLD !!! ---------WolfSky9
@@Wolfsky9 How about listening to this great song @17yrs old and graduated from HS..Today 4-10-2020..@74yrs old???
I am sooo happy that somebody finally remastered this great song. Now we can hear it the way it was supposed to sound!!
Great job on putting this together. My favorite girl group 45!
I absolutely love the piano on this recording! The whole song is a Rock 'n' Roll classic as far as I'm concerned. Thank you for sharing!!!
Love it! Too bad the lovely girlpop from the 60s is gone
Great track
WOW this is my favorite Chiffons recording. I don't know how you enhanced it, but it is absolutely AMAZING! Especially if a person listens through "STEREO" headphones. Thank you so very, very much. You are the best!!!
The enhanced versions are designed specifically for headphones. Kenn
@@cinematic35 Great! Thank you for letting me know.
THAT, summer of '63, I was 16 y/o -------the last moments of innocence before 11/22, & The Brit invasion of 2/7/64, took it all away. .-------------saddens me now, to remember. ----------------MJL, 76 y/o
The favourite song of my childhood.
At least this particular YT upload of "One Fine Day" doesn't have comments turned off--thank you! 🙂 Oh, and this song brings back some memories, at least of hearing it as an "oldie" on the radio or in some other context (I was only a year old when this song was released!)
I hate it when people tamper with my favorite songs, but I had to listen to this a second time. This is the first time I really appreciated someone tampering with perfection. Excellent job, especially on the vocals.
Quite an approva there! The idea is to make the original sound better without destroying it and that's walking a fine line! Kenn
It just blew my mind. Such a wonderful stereo version to replace my mono version. Thank you, so much.
Wow! really great enhancement. This was the first record that really grabbed me back then. To hear it like this is a real treat. Thanks.
What a song. Thanks ladies.
Absolutely terrific song.Thanks
Absolutely brilliant. I always look forward to your work. It brings back those wonderful days like nothing else could. Thank You!!!
These ladies were just the ticket in the early 60's.
You know, I should run screaming when new production is added to a classic song - but I can't! It makes me stay and enjoy it!! So I gotta say wow, great job and such tasteful production. Sweet.
Absolutely one of my favorites- great harmony
Outstanding! My favorite song of the girl groups of that period in music history.
Outstanding of course. The perfect pop record. You must check out "Baby, baby, I Still Love you by The Cinderellas (Aka The Cookies)
You are a wizard! This sounds incredible, especially with headphones. Great work!
Without a doubt much better than today
The Chiffons were such a good group! Thanks for posting!
This sounds like it was recorded in stereo, EXCELLENT work.
Use headphones,
their IS left, right and center channels
Most likely its the 'enhancement'

But…..which one is Pink??
Awesome!
Thank-you once again, Kenn ! Great work. --------------summer of '63, this is a classic.
Nicely done!
The chiffons are so amazing with the song one fine day and it is a awesome and excellent song and put into the rock and roll Hall of fame as a amazing song. I have added this song to my playlist.
Awsome!
Great memories from this song
Beautiful song to dance to. Some beautiful sistas!!
wow! one of my first 45's. great job - always liked the song. now it sounds more awesomer!!
WOW ! I love your work! THIS one's fantastic! I know what you mean by a "clean version" of this track. This was recorded in 1963 when the transition from vacuum-tube to solid-state recording equipment was in full swing. I think a few too many transistors got into the mixing chain and destroyed any good audio quality that could have been. A wonderful Goffin/King extravaganza taken to #1 by The Chiffons! Your "embellishments" made it better.
This young woman wrote some lovely songs ,they say Carole king was 14 when she wrote her first wow
This is beyond awesome. Keep up the excellent work! :D
*Wow, WOw and WOW!!!!!*
In order to hear and appreciate all of Kenn's additions and augmentations; one needs to listen to these carefully crafted renditions thru headsets/earbuds.
I don't listen to anything without my Sennheisers or my home built, floor standing studio monitors.
Carole King written, sung by Chiffons absolute masterpiece made even better .... Wow ....
One of my favorites growing up
Such a skillful job done on this wonderful classic.... thanks for taking the time and trouble to do it..... good on you !!!!!!
Mr. Wingle : again sir, my thanks to you for your incredible effort on these songs of my generation . -------Always, WolfSky9
MY headphones on : this masterpiece is brand new ! --------Thank-you again, sir !! -----WolfSky9, 70 y/o
That summer of '63, was in some ways terrrible, & in others, wonderful. I was 16 y/o, heading to my senior year in HS, & i was full of mixed feelings. -------------this song though, was fantastic, & a sure hit. -------------------------------WolfSky9, 74 y/o
Hey, I'm a recording engineer and very fussy but you definitely did a good job. Very often I don't like to listen to enhancements. I prefer the original or my own enhancement. But I like yours so much that, even though I can do great enhancement, I don't need to with this fine job you did. Thanks!
Love your work! Brings back the happy days of my childhood!
What great stuff---I still love it.
Love this song, my shower sing a long song! This is the best version I've heard by far. Thanks for sharing!!!
My thumbs are starting to wear out by putting them WAY UP every time I hear Kenn’s remixes-you are a mixmaster!!!
great job! thx for uploading this!
Best Sax segment ever.. and you REALLY brought it out! Thank you soooooo much.
As others have stated, excellent job of enhancing this. Thank you!
PERFECTION! Thank you, for your hard work and dedication.
absolutely fantastic.
Very beautiful, i love the sound of the guitar. Very good work!!!
Goffin / King had this & " Hey Girl" in that Summer of '63.
Excellent job on this one. Best I've heard. Thanks for putting this one out there.
Congrats! You have both the best audio and the best video for this song found on CZcams. I can attest to that, because I've tried 'em all!
I see you've noticed that most of the uploads on CZcams are recycled mp3's.
I'm trying to use only clean digital copies on wave file. Quality is everything
in this business. Glad you liked it! Kenn
Love your excellent job Kenn!!!
ya done good-thanks
I have been trying to find a good quality version of this excellent job on enhancing the mono version.
Thanks...
It sounds really good
Wow!!! Thank you!!! Excellent version!!!
This sounds amazing in my car! Thank you!
What great version! Nice work my friend
BEST version on CZcams - great work!!
Bravo! thankyou for your superb sensibilities. your friend, Slim 😎 x
WOWonderful !!!
I briefly knew the guy who played the drums on this...I HEALED MYSELF
knee jerk reaction
When the songs fades out I think of the Kennedy motorcade turning from Elm onto Houston. Gives me chills.
Un vrai plaisir 👏👏👏👏👏
I cannot believe how much you have improved this wonderful track....
I'ts always been one of my favourites but as you say, all the original recording was really crud.
Keept it up my boy !. All the best - Ant in Cornwall England.
I believe that is Ms. King herself tickling the ivories.
Awesome! ty
Sounds great Kenn!!
Love that Doo Wop sound by the Chiffons
Never mind headphones. You need to be at my house when the Sansui 9090 is pumpin four Infinitis. The lights pulse due to the current draw. Ghost hunters be advised MY windows DO vibrate. Old school everything. All your songs, Thank You. You, Sir are the new improved Phil Spector.
The chiffon’s could really sing Judy Craig’s lead was great and still is and there sound was so warm and uplifting I can’t think of any other female group I can say that about and I’m happy to say there from the Bronx and lived just four blocks away from me one last thing they had a very happy kind of sound that’s what I mean about uplifting phil Caggiano
Absolutely incredible job at this so glad there's people out there that still appreciate what music was
Excellent, Kenn. EDB
Another "Fine" Job!
One of the greatest songs by the chiffons sadly all the great artist and songs have gone thank God we have you tube so we can listen to them all
the best of all gold finger shirley bassey
An early brilliant collab with Carole King and Gerry Goffin. Was it their first? I don't know. Love this enhanced version, thanks to our host!
No. they had a massive hit with "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow". It was recorded by the Shirelles in 1961! However, I believe Goffin/King composed the very best music from that era! The second best composers were, I think, Ellie Greenwich and her husband Jeff Barry!
❤
Gerry Goffin and Carole King with one of their superb early songs.
Glad you mentioned Gerry. He wrote the words, Carol the music.
Yep
nice job...
