It’s so convenient how the previous episode was called The Best and this episode is called The Worst. With that said, this episode really does show it’s not easy to be a man, a woman, a kid or an adult.
It’s not easy being anything
life is hard, even just getting a meal and a glass of water can be work. Although that doesn't mean life can't be enjoyable ofc
@@FreshZCORD that may be true but those are temporary, everything else is_____there
Actually u know what, Larry has it the worst.
Fr
ur right
That's why I'm larryphobic /j
When i saw this ep first time long ago, i totally didnt expect the end to cut nicole off lol
This episode speaking facts and criticism, I love it, great review btw
i think the episode is overhated by the community. when i watched it for the first time (and i was a kid!), i smelled only the realness. now, as an young adult, it seems to me even more real.
Justice for Larry since he has it the worst
funny enough this episode of “The Worst” is rated as one of the the worst episodes of gumball 🙃
This episode was clearly targeted for a more mature audience, so that’s probably why you enjoyed more than a usual episode for its realism aspect (which isn’t seen a lot in this goofy show)
It’s pretty ironic that the episode titled “the worst” is known as one of the worst episodes in the series
I think this episode is overhated
@@lich848 I agree with you
i loved this episode
It really isn’t
Finally a cartoon episode that actually acknowledges everyone has their problems in life, women and men specifically. Nowadays it seems like theres a gender war, fighting to see who gets it worst. Everyone gets it worst. Its life
I think there's always been a gender war, it's just what happens when you have binary system. But yeah it doesn't make sense, life's already hard enough for all of us :/
7:40 leaky eye luca lore
4:30 wolf of elmore street.
I haven't seen that yet. I need to do that and come back to this episode.
@rc8s ya. It's a reference from the movie lol.
Best episode of the series...
9:45 as a man*. I think it's important to remember that this series is made in uk.
Sometimes I'm not entirely sure if I'm reading the ending wrong; but Nicole still refusing to accept that everyone has it bad in their own way and wanting to divert it all to one group is a good example of how the world continues to be the way it is; a vast majority of the world's issues could be resolved if we looked at it all from one angle rather than just trying to separate it all when most of the issues affect everyone anyway
I'm not saying she's wrong though, it's just an interesting thing to think about
I think she is mostly in the right, as a man there are some conveniences in my life that women will never get, not everyone's issues are as rooted into the the government/social norms
@@gonko638 true but at the end of the day, Nicole's way of thinking is not great, she basically blew off everyone's issues just to put the spotlight to Women's issues and that's the point of the episode cutting off, even Gumball, a child was not specifically saying anyone had it worse, but a fully grown woman like Nicole couldn't understand how unnecessarily selfish it is, plus even Richard understood but she didn't which is quite the L honestly
Again she is not wrong at all but that isn't the point, the biggest issues in society are not tied to one group of people, they never have been, Alienation, lack of money for all people in the working class, there's so much affecting everyone and women by far do not have it that badly to where they deserve the spotlight alone, neither do Men or Children, Nicole is the perfect example of what the wrong way of thinking is and how not to deal with the world's issues and if the current state of the world shows anything, it's that nothing changes when we feed into the cycle of doing the Woe is me act for a specific group, it just builds resentment from the other side that gets the lack of help
@@de606returns6 bit I think what Nicole was about to say is exactly that it's not necessarily true that everyone has equally the worst problems. Because some of the problems may "stack up" for some people
Nicole for example has both the "adult problems" and "woman problems", not just woman ones
When Gumball becomes and adult, he might suffer the same bad things that Nicole suffers as an employee but might still not suffer the same ones she suffers as a woman
And obviously that applies to much more things, like being "a kid and poor", "being a man and disabled", etc
Is true that everyone suffers, but it's also true that indeed some people do suffer more than others
@@xaropante that is true, I guess I didn't consider she was speaking in a more Niche term, so that's actually fair
Usually when it comes to this you get the extreme discredit of everything else when it comes to this so it's nice to see in these replies that people are being reasonable so thank y'all
@@de606returns6 I get what your saying, dwelling on those issues does nothing for anyone, but I feel like shinning a light on the imbalance of life experiences between the groups isn't overshadowing the others. I mean isn't that the first step to fixing the problem, acknowledgment?
When I watched the commentaries I saw this episode was hated, but in my side I love this one. Dedicace to the "bastard" end, the best repartee as a end of the serie.
One time I though "What a bastard!! xD" about the cartoon.
A lot HATE this episode, and honestly I can see why, it uses a lot of stereotypes to talk about some serious topics
BUT ! When I was younger I actually did like this episode, why ? Maybe this episode does not talk correctly about discrimination but it can never be worse than Teen Titans Go... in TTG there was an episode talking about the gender topic and it was so much worse
There were saying that girls were better than boys in everything but they are toxic because they have lice
Really it was awful, so compared to that, "The worse" talks way better of stereotypes and that's why I am not objective about this episode
Does anyone have explanations for why “the worst” is considered one of the worst episodes of tawog
Probably some demographics who I'm not gonna name felt called out and offended by the realism of this episode and review bombed the episode.
@@levangiorgadze5842I'd say so
First of all, it's probably the first purely political episode of Gumball.
Second of all, the problem they shown were very petty for some and quickly became outdated. Like wow, you're really telling me that men falling over heels for you is the worst woman problem you can think of? Or adults having no imagination? Or kids just attending school? Like man, they managed to be disrespectful to literally every party they tried to show.
Anyway, that's general opinion. I personally do enjoy this episode.
@@MilesProwerUA It's tough cause it's an adult problem being addressed in a kid's show. Most of the better examples of ways different demographics have it rough can't be covered properly in a kid-show format. I hated the episode when I was younger cause it's so bleak, now I'm older I kinda respect how bleak it makes adulthood and being the opposite sex.
@@mellow3995 I mean, obviously, they can't really show women being sexually harassed or kids being exploited, but like... Why even make an episode like that in the first place if you literally don't have the tools to show what you want?
I like the part what Tobias said about wearing makeup
2:42 has this guy met Nicole
it may be the worst episode of season 5,
but i laugh so hard when i watched the first time, and i still like the episode
7:55😱
This episode is explaining the bad things about being man, woman, boy or a kid
Great reaction!
14:39 its called slice of life i guess
When will people learn...life is horrible for everyone
Okay nihilist 😂
@@jbonceu2457 I don't mean it in a nihilistic sense, I'm saying that EVERYONE'S life has some form of a struggle.
So, to assume you have it worse than others is naive. Besides...Nicole made the poor choice of working at that factory on her own.
If it's so bad to her, why not just quit and work somewhere else with more benefits
@@SilverScribe85 1st) I didn't expect you to take the comment seriously 2nd) Good point though but I think since it's a struggle for women to climb up the ranks, how much more in maintaining a particular job or to even start anew, like starting over to a new company can also be risky if you already have good enough income flow but you need to cut it off to be hired again. I think it's the "finding opportunity to grow without sacrificing what you currently have" is her dilemma, she can't just start fresh easily with things in mind. Plus, potentially being a long term employee can also be beneficial so it's a matter of choosing the right poison ig.
@@jbonceu2457 Still, it's clear that factory is all forms of abusive towards Nicole.
Why bother putting yourself through all that for such meager pay? It's about as bad as retail or fast food industry work
