  • Tartar sauce might be great on your fish, but nobody likes to have tartar on their teeth. And I’m talking about bacteria-filled plaque that hardens and stains your pearly whites. It occurs when you forget the golden rule of 3: brush, floss, and rinse. When not removed, it becomes rough and can actually lead to gum disease. Not to mention, those yellowy stains can make you feel pretty self-conscious about your smile.
But don’t worry! You’ve got everything you need to pulverize that plaque right in your kitchen! You can use baking soda, orange peel, or even strawberries and tomatoes for doing this! We at Bright Side are on bad teeth, bad breath, and poor oral care patrol. Here are 10 ways to get rid of tartar and shine bright like a diamond.
    TIMESTAMPS:
    Baking soda and salt 1:05
    Orange peel 2:12
    Lemon juice 3:16
    Sesame seeds 4:03
    Hydrogen peroxide and mouthwash 4:49
    Coconut oil 5:28
    Strawberries and tomatoes 6:03
    Aloe vera and glycerin 6:38
    Cloves 7:13
    Sanguinaria 7:37
    Music by Epidemic Sound www.epidemicsound.com/
    SUMMARY:
    - Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with a pinch of salt and put some of this mixture on your toothbrush. Alternatively, you can add it to your regular toothpaste too.
    - If you’re looking to get rid of stains and tartar buildup from your teeth, simply rub the white part of the peel directly over your teeth for 2 to 3 minutes.
    - Replace orange peel with lemon juice if you want better and faster results.
    - Sesame seeds act as a natural scrub that both polishes and cleans your teeth.
    - Mix 1 tablespoon of antiseptic mouthwash with 3 tablespoons of 3% hydrogen peroxide solution. Gargle this mixture for a couple minutes and follow it up with clean water.
    - In a popular procedure calling “oil pulling,” the coconut oil absorbs dirt in the mouth, reduces tartar and plaque, and helps you get rid of bad breath.
    - Both tomatoes and strawberries are rich in vitamin С, so you can use them if lemons or oranges aren’t your thing. Chop up and blend either of them into a paste and put it on your teeth.
    - Mix 1 teaspoon of pure aloe vera gel, 4 teaspoons of vegetable glycerin, 10 drops of lemon essential oil, and 4 tablespoons of baking soda in 1 cup of water to get a smooth paste.
    - Grind the cloves (or find a ready-made powder), add a little olive oil, and apply the mixture to the stained areas.
    - Sanguinaria is a plant more commonly known as bloodroot. But it’s not as weird as it seems at first glance; bloodroot extract is often included in toothpaste!

Hi! As a dental student, the most effective way of removing plaque is through mechanical disruption which is basically toothbrushing. And don't sweat it out if you have yellowish teeth, it's normal. What you have to keep in mind is gingivitis which is the inflammation of your gums as bacteria moves inside it.

    • @cristelecabague1163

@@cristelecabague1163 Hi! Sorry for the super late reply. If you have gingivitis, (which most of us do), the solution is to visit your dentist 1-2x a year. Since the anatomy of your teeth and its supporting structures (e.g., the gingiva) have such small spaces in between them, your toothbrush can only do so much. Your dentist will then have the adequate tools and techniques to disrupt the microorganisms your toothbrush cannot reach. Hope this helps!

@@amisha25211 Hi! Sorry also for the late reply! So the formation of calcular deposits (/tartar) is actually largely related to its proximity to your salivary glands. So in relation to your question, if you are pertaining to your mandibular incisors when you meant “small teeth”, the back of it in particular, this is because it is actually near a salivary gland thus making it prone to formation of deposits.

Try the oil pulling with coconut oil and add about 4-6 drops of clove oil and swish it around in your mouth for at least 2 minutes. The clove oil is antibacterial and antimicrobial, it's strong stuff and highly concentrated. If you do this ,you're using the coconut oil as a carrier oil for the clove. It's not any more unpleasant than mouthwash, you'll get used to it- just don't swallow it! If you do, I would suggest being near a toilet or be outside if that happens.

I typically use lemon peels and chew but don't swallow the peels. My teeth r very white! I've also gargled w apple cider vinegar but not too often for this can def weakened the enamel. But it will def get rid of any stains that's hard to come off teeth! Great video thank you 🤗!

Not eating grains and sugar eliminates plaque altogether. And can even heal cavities.
And use charcoal toothpaste for whitening, works great!

Plaque and tartar are not interchangeable words. Tartar is a calcified substance attached to your teeth which needs a sharp instrument and controlled muscle to remove. Plaque is a soft sticky substance that can be brushed off or you could use these ideas. Happy brushing!

Magnesium - milk of magnesia or magnesium oil. Many people are deficient, but without enough magnesium calcium can't go into teeth and bones where it belongs. I'm not sure (haven't done it a lot) but I think after I swished with magnesium oil for a few minutes and swallowed it (did a couple of days), some tartar was softer and came off. It will also help with teeth sensitivity, because it's remineralizing your teeth with what they need. Whiten as well.
