yep, i did the same thing a few years ago. I got neck problems and can't stay in one position too long. When I made my setup over my bed, it works perfect. I have a large back pillow against the wall and can sit up and move and angle the monitor any way I want. And then if I want to lay down I can have the monitor hovering overhead. works great.
Dude, you are CRIMINALLY underrated. Your channel has massive potential and you deserve WAY more subs than you currently have. This video was so entertaining!
Thank you so much! That means the world to me!!!!
That is a good idea
thats fucking awesome!
whether that was a commonly available monitor arm or some special which can hold the weight of screen upside down...can you share the link from amazon for somehting similar to that monitor arm....
Can someone pls recommend a monitor wall stand like that one on the video because the link is no longer available?
Ur a funny guy 😂
Can you rotate the monitor in pitch, roll, and yaw?
Does it stay put if you move it in those axes?
Is this a daily driver? I see a comment saying that you still use it on occasion, but is it once in a blue moon?
Yes you can move it on any axis, tilt, spin, etc. and yes, it stays put wherever you leave it. I used to use it daily and i never had any problems with it.
I'm big sad that the monitor arm is no longer available on Amazon, I need something like that for reasons!
Ahh man! I bet theres something similar out there
I dont wanna steal his thunder, his setup is really cool. But I made a mount out of "off the shelf" electrical metallic conduit and schedule 40 piping and 3d printed gears.
Take a look, maybe you can make one for yourself

What was the actual product name for the monitor arm??
@@TuttiKaleYaar I was trying to use wayback machine to access the link and take a look at it again cuz I forgot its name but it's getting error 429(too many requests on website at the moment), I will try again tonight and let you know if I can check.
So a year later, are you still using it? I've thought about trying this but it seems like having my arms flat on the bed would not be a comfortable way to use a mouse.
I do still use it if its been a long day and i just want to lay down. I usually put a thin book on my chest and use the mouse on that. You are right, having your arm straight out beside you on the bed would not be comfortable at all.

Well, In my experience with my over the bed robotic monitor arm, I keep my keyboard on my lap, and my mouse by my side with my arm straight out. I find it slightly more comfortable than at a desk (for just the arm, the entire setup is 100x better than at a desk). The only downside is that if you let go of the mouse, it slides towards your body because you sink in the bed.
I also have a trackball mouse for non-gaming stuff like coding or writing documents and i rest my arm on my chest too. Thats the most comfortable.
Edit: it looks like one of my comments disappeared. Here is my setup, its an 80 inch, 6 degree of freedom, motorized monitor mount

I bought an over the bed table/desk so I could return to work as I can’t sit in a desk chair or recliner since my 2nd back surgery. I got an adjustable bed. I was looking for something like ur set up but where monitors would swing out in front of me instead of above me. The adjustable bed helps a lot. I hope you’re getting better!
@@shawnabreedlove1242 I’ve been told surgery would be a bad option for me so I’m going to try everything else first. TENS unit, heating pad, chiropractor, and lots of core exercises.
I have come up with a really good design for a type of setup that eliminates all my back pain. YT doesn’t like outside links so ‘m not sure where to post a pic of the design I’m working on.
@@shawnabreedlove1242 YT is getting so frustrating. I wrote a reply yesterday but it has been removed.
whats the monitor arms name? so we can search it on other sites
