      I have videos on almost every grammar topic you can think of. If you go to my channel page and search for it, you will probably find what you are looking for. If you need specific help, let me know and I will try to help you find what you need (even if it isn't from this channel). I am currently also not having physical classes, so I understand the frustration and will do my best to accommodate not only my students but others around the world, who are currently struggling.

      I have a few videos on those topics. I have linked them below.
      Present Tense Master Class (Everything you will ever need to know about the present tense in German): czcams.com/video/GRYulP53Fo0/video.html
      Perfekt (Spoken past) Playlist: czcams.com/video/Afiz28LDAHw/video.html
      Präteritum (Imperfekt/Simple Past/Spoken Past) Playlist: czcams.com/video/Ye_9H5Nqvik/video.html
      3 Minuten Deutsch Videos about Modals: czcams.com/video/Ga-hpQyVExk/video.html
      Modal Verbs (Present and Past) Playlist: czcams.com/video/UsYMIie3GKU/video.html
      I hope this helps. I also plan on doing future and past tense master classes sometime, but that is currently on hold until I can finish the other project I am working on.

    Firstly thank you so much for consistently delivering super high-quality videos! Your explanations really do help :)
    I have a question. If Auser means both 'except' and 'in addition' then how do I know which meaning is used in a sentence or is that purely from context? And does Auserdem mean the same as Auser?
    Also I'm a bit confused with 'bei' and 'mit'. For instance I came across a sentence: Brauchst Du Hilfe bei der Vorbereitung
    I'm wondering why it is not: Brauchst Du Hilfe mit der Vorbereitung

    • @MrLAntrim
      @MrLAntrim  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes. Context is key for understanding how to translate "außer". Technically, if you translate it with "except" all of the time, you can still end up with the correct meaning. Außer meinem Vater kommt auch noch meine Schwester. - With the exception of my father, my sister is also coming. It is a bit of a stretch, but it kind of works.
      Außerdem is actually related to außer, but not the same. Außerdem includes "that" within the word, while außer requires you to finish the phrase. Ich bin krank. Außerdem möchte ich gar nicht ausgehen. - I am sick. Besides that I don't want to go out at all.
      For help with bei, this article is pretty good. It is kind of complicated: www.thoughtco.com/german-preposition-bei-1444459
