The guy’s question at around 43:30 where intelligence is not good because it can produce bad. Well, what he’s noticing is what Plato speaks of elsewhere. Plato says that knowledge without justice is mere cunning. So, a person can be smart or healthy, but those wholenesses produce bad ends because though whole to the extent that they are, they lack or are done without justice.

gnosis and episteme is not sophos... believe and know is diferent things, but, by the love they become Wisdom.

Its pretty much the indifference of a tool. Its how it's used that makes it good or bad. Like Seneca said. Life is not good or bad, its the place for good and bad.

Would be the same for intelligence, knowledge and wisdom. Its not good or bad. Its a tool and what determines whether its good or bad is how we use it and apply it. It can be for sincere reasons to arm ourselves and to help ourselves and others, the common good. Or we can use our intelligence, knowledge and wisdom for sinister and malevolent reasons.

I thought knowledge was noesis not episteme

Noesis is closer to understanding or intellect. There are a few different Greek words used for knowledge; in Plato's dialogues techne and episteme are the most used. Techne is skill/craft/art and episteme is a field of knowledge. Plato develops episteme into articulated reasoning about a field (i.e. in this lecture, articulated reasoning about geometry)

noesis (intuition) + episteme (knowledge) = sophos (wisdom)

@@nickshel gnosis is the aplication of nous in physis: the techne and espisteme about this is the cosmology, by the aritmétics, geometry and astronomy. the live for this Filo is Sophos! Not Doxa. when this happens in the dialog, Logos appears. Ananke! But i dont know, i just synthesizing my subjectivity by negation of objects.
