As far as the fruit goes it'll probably be fine if he's putting it up late in the evening and the birds aren't as big an issue as the squirrels. Who knows maybe he's hunting squirrels though.

no. if it's suspended high enough they won't even know it's there. heat rises so the odor of your food would be taken upwards and not downwards so they would never smell it. even if there was a breeze blowing downward across the food they wouldn't be able to tell exactly where it's coming from. and if you position your suspension cord in the right place then they won't accidentally dislodge it and accidentally bring the food down. of course even if they couldn't smell it they wouldn't know that that cord leads to food so they wouldn't try to chew the cord into. turn on smart enough to work out that you've pulled your food into a tree with a cord or rope. but they or another critter COULD accidentally run into it or something else mess with it to pull your food down. worst case scenario, a branch falls add snaps your cord while you're gone. but if it's high up enough in a tree you'll never even know it's there. you just got to know what you're doing. and of course bears can climb trees. but if they can't smell your food because it's too high up then they won't know to climb that tree because they smell no food. 😁 rising heat will pull the outer upwards. much farther up than it is already above their noses.

no. if it's suspended high enough they won't even know it's there. heat rises so the odor of your food would be taken upwards and not downwards so they would never smell it. even if there was a breeze blowing downward across the food they wouldn't be able to tell exactly where it's coming from. and if you position your suspension cord in the right place then they won't accidentally dislodge it and accidentally bring the food down. of course even if they couldn't smell it they wouldn't know that that cord leads to food so they wouldn't try to chew the cord into. turn on smart enough to work out that you've pulled your food into a tree with a cord or rope. but they or another critter COULD accidentally run into it or something else mess with it to pull your food down. worst case scenario, a branch falls add snaps your cord while you're gone. but if it's high up enough in a tree you'll never even know it's there. you just got to know what you're doing.
and of course bears can climb trees. but if they can't smell your food because it's too high up then they won't know to climb that tree because they smell no food. 😁 rising heat will pull the outer upwards. much farther up than it is already above their noses.

For those wondering the purpose of this, hanging your food in a tree away from where you’re camping or living is a good idea.
Bears, mountain lions, and other animals can smell it. Especially if it’s cooked. And they’ll come looking at your camp if they do. By hanging it in a tree away from away from Where you’re sleeping you help prevent unwanted midnight visitors as well as keep them from getting at it.
But they'll just get at you instead of the fruit thoo🌚
Except every creature that climbs and flies now has easy access to it.
