i really like these types of chess videos bcuz they're really rare in youtube, i hope you continue and make more chess documentaries about things like magnus's 125 unbeaten streakn ding's 100 game unbeaten streak, how fabiano caruana went 7-0 in 2014, how ding won the 2023 wcc, how kramnik defeated kasparov in 2000.......
We need more people like you to support chess for the upcoming generation ... especially where most of the games are played online and less on the board.
Thank you so much, I think there are so many good stories in chess that need to be told, and I have a lot of fun making these new documentary styled videos !!
@@ChessNuke and if it is going to go to wins/losses, the player with fewer decisive games should probably go through, because that means his opponents played better (you can't win if your opponent doesn't give you chances), and they played better too
But it also means you were willing to take more risk than the guy that got more draws. It's super easier for especially grandmaster to arrive at theoritorical drawn positions.
The funniest part of the video was Magnus declining to play in candidates 2010 which proves that even though he hated the format since that time, he still pushed on and won it 5 total times.
Omg wow I have been watching your videos for a few months now and i thought you had at least 250k subs You are a very underrated creator. Keep up the good work!
Mad that Kramnik has gone from being a world champion to being clowned by idiots on youtube that don't realise he is right about most of the guys he accuses.
Great video, I am really in love with the London 2013 tournament. A shame that there aren't really that many videos about it. But I think that in the end, even if Magnus had not won the Candidates in 2013, he would still eventually have become world champion.
@@ChessNuke Oh and also, mad respect to you for speaking up about the Hikaru situation. It’s great to see small creators speak up about stuf like this, and i’m really dissapointed to see Hikaru choose this path.
That was not his first attempt- yes he sat out the prior candidates but lost in the one before that, but perhaps you meant first attempt in the world championship or something
Yes but he already chose not to play the first time he qualified, who knew if he would want to try again after a deviating loss like that... It's called a "what if" for a reason
Great video man ❤ really loved your intense setup with the lights, that really pulls my focus towards you and your voice, loved the narration !! Keep up the great work, hope good things come for you 🙌❤️
@@ChessNuke someday when you'll be famous and a successful chess commentator I'll show ppl that I have reply from ChessNuke..that would really be a flex 😂❤️ really glad to hear that you enjoy wht you do, Kudos to you man 👍
I'm really glad you enjoyed the video !! The main plot of the video is mostly covering the crazy tournament but I would say the underlying story is about how luck effects even the best players in the game. The butterfly effect is really crazy, and it brings up interesting points of what if Magnus lost the tournament in that last round and Kramnik became champion again. Would Magnus try to play another candidates tournament after he lost in such a devastating way, nobody really knows and it's fun to explore imo !!
Of course but next time is never guaranteed, maybe he won't have the motivation to play like in 2010, and who knows if he would win it. The butterfly effect is a real thing
Hey, Man. I am your biggest fan tbh. You're the whole reason I have gotten into chess. Keep up the good work. And, I was wondering if I canhave a shoutout? If you can't give me a shoutout, it's all good ❤️
There was 0 percent of chance of Magnus never becoming a World Champion. He's by far the best chess player in the world for more than a decade. Nice clickbait for those who aren't that into chess though. Disliked.

Even if Magnus didn’t win this one, he would have won the next Candidates. He easily qualifies through at least one route (rating) every year.
You know Ivanchuk is good when even the screen starts shaking 💀☠

GothamChess already soaked up all the Magnus views. This video will underperform.
If I wanted views I would shit out videos every day and not post twice a month, literally don't care

This video very informative to me

The wins tiebreak is stupid, winning more games means you lost more, so your games were worse than the guy with fewer wins and losses
Yea, I feel like they should always play a few games of rapid for the tiebreaker
