@@therealelectromagneticwave prepare for trouble and make it double
In r34 universe, Groose is indeed loose. And there is nothing that can stop him. You can't reason with him, you can't bargain with him. He does not stop. Ever. Untill you are [RETRACTED].
The Bronya can indeed verify that Groose x Zelda cuckships are a very popular art concept amongst more *questionable* art communities.
"when the groose is loose its all over for that aboose" I've never heard a sentence more beautiful than that in my life
i died laughing
@@alanbeausang8284 Same
Just google "the goose is loose" to fiind out how old this meme actually is, must give props to the channel for remembering that wild story/set of photo's.

Makes me sad to hear that it's "universally hated" lol though I can understand the frustration with the motion controls. Other than that, this is one of my favorite Zelda games.
Same.
Other than Fi’s Navigation
I love every aspect of this game
The game really suffers from over linear leveldesign too, and too much backtracking (fighting the same boss 3 times is kinda awful).
But I loved it anyway
Yeah, I enjoyed it but it definitely depends on how well your sensor bar and motion controls are performing. And the surface world being overly linear like a pre-dungeon to the dungeon was spot on. Other than that, it was a great time, though.
the gameplay is awful . the rest is fine. unfortunately that is a pretty big thing
The fact that the last drawing gave Link hearts leaves me with questions to Nintendo.🤣
Unrecognized pattern just gives you 3 hearts
@@Edafosavra awww great you ruined the magic of the original comment...
@@kingartifex sav'aaq!
Even Nintendo loves The D.
the d is the fastest way to the hearts
“A very angry avocado” got me so good
The amount of character development Groose went through is phenomenal, I ended up loving him by the end of the game
Groose cannot be a main character he’s not even the main character when basically it’s usually link plus A bully character cannot be a main character that’s basically the rules
"Hisoka" "Berserker"
On point.
He got The power of God and Anime on his Side 🗣️⚔️
the fact that a good chunk of this trailer was praising groose makes this your most honest trailer in a while. the groose is loose within my heart 💕
This is the definitive Zelda honest trailer! Swinging the sword instead of moving the camera. Yes!
The one about Ocarina of Time was better
I played it for the first time on switch and that was so irritating.
yeah, decided to go with the motion controls 'cause of that. would be way better if you could press another button to switch between camera and sword controls
@@Vamp19vv I think it would have been better it the right stick controlled the camera and you hold LZ and swung the right stick to swing your sword. That’s pretty much universal that right stick controls camera. 🤷♀️ pretty good port other wise. Nice finished on Wii.
the guy who played the "Ocarina of time" and "Majora's mask" on the original N64: pfft amateurs.
"untitled Groose game" someone finally makes that joke.
"a very angry Avocado" I mean, you're not wrong...
I actually loved this game back in the day. Motion controls and all.
The motion controls made the game more fun for me.
@@Apollo1989V Red Steel 2 was my favorite game for sword fighting though.
I know right I was actually surprised that people hated it I mean I like twilight princess more and I did get frustrated with the motion controls but otherwise I had fun
@@paulreading2409 Not many places to go and honestly the controls were terrible
honestly for every bad thing you can name about the game, you can name something also good about it.

@@protalghulnist4126 Sorry, I have too much of a conscience.
I'm pretty sure it counts as assult and the trex would be disqualified
There is a rule against going on the opponents side of the court though
@@realitant That might indeed be a problem. A T-Rex doesn't have that much reach. Might be difficult to get the opponent who never has to leave the base line (or whatever it's called).
There should be some carnivores that can reach, aren't there? Herbivores no problem.
Demise "Berserker"
Was... was that a Fate Stay/Night refrence?!?!
Fate Honest Game Trailer when?!
I'd love to see them do honest trailers for visual novels and hopefully they joke about how you don't really do anything besides tapping the screen to read dialogue and make choices but because the story is interesting you put up with it
Fate/GO honest trailer when
Come on, do you want him to have a nervous breakdown? Because him trying to understand the Fate Fandom enough to riff on sounds like a fast way to send anyone over the edge.
Yes I very much want to see that
and they better name them all.
To be completely honest, the game was waaaayyyy easier with button controls. I can actually use precision swings with button controls, although accidentally drawing my sword instead of moving the camera happened way too many times.
Skyward Sword is actually one of my favourite Zelda games. The controls were a little clunky, sure. But the story is actually my absolute favourite of the series, it's super compelling.
were the controls tight? No. Did they make for complex and challenging gameplay? Probably not. But was it fun as hell to swing around the wii controls like a good ol' sword and board? HELL YES.
they were to me too, at first. But by the time i fought Demise, i felt like a master...which i think helps to reinforce this is the first Link, so he doesn't have a all those previous lives from the Hero's Spirit giving him the instinct to sword and board..he's learning on his own the first time
Now that we have Skyward Sword can we get an Honest Trailer for Hyrule Warriors
The first one is one of my favorite Switch games.
I automatically disregard any game from the "Warriors"-Series. Based on what I've seen in some trailers you just fight endless hordes of copy-pasted grunts.
@@imef3735 doesn’t mean that they’re not worth an Honest trailer
Honestly the worst Zelda game. I only stuck around for the story.
@@disguysn Skyward Sword or Hyrule Warriors
Can't believe you didn't even mention Ghirahim, the true star of the game. Overall, it is my third most loved Zelda, behind Botw and MM.
They could have mentioned Ghirahim, but then they would have gotten de-monetised.
I never finished this. But I thought it was better than BoTW. That to me is the worst Zelda game ever.... Not including CD-i
Definitely my favourite antagonist
Dont forget Twilight Princess!
@@BabysitterSky i agree completely man. Breath of the Wild is a great game but as far as being a great Zelda game it's the worst. It deviated completely from the core components of the series and felt like an Elder Scrolls game rather than a Zelda game
Yeah, Skyward gets a bad wrap...
Say: "The award for the best third wheel goes to....LUIGI"
"And the Master Sword sleeps again... FOREVER!" from Link to the Past causes a great deal of joy after experiencing the "joy" that is Fi.
Too bad that A Link Between World made that statement a complete lie.
It's a good game, my main issue is a lack of exploration in the game and how the map is fragmented into sections. The actual temples are mostly good and unique. I know people have issue with Twilight Princess as well but at least you could run around the map more freely
Yeah that was the biggest flaw. It's kinda weird that the game even gave you a Loftwing and a huge sky map, because there's almost nothing in it. Just Skyloft and a few random scattered islands. The rest is just empty space.
I always saw Ghirahim as David Bowie, and now I will always see him as Hisoka.
Now do a Honest Trailer for Hyperdimension Neptunia
Seeing videos like this makes me wonder, was I the only person with a wii that had good motion controls? because I literally never had an issue.
Probably not the "only" person, but certainly in the minority if you you "literally" never had an issue.
The "sudden but inevitable betrayal" of the motion controls is the only thing I hated about the game more than Fi.
@@firenze6478 I watched my roommate struggle HARD with the motion controls. I was convinced they were nonresponsive. He was so frustrated. When he finished the game he couldn’t be bothered to do hero mode, so I did it for him instead.
The same TV. The same controller. The same sensor bar. The same room.
I never once had an issue. He was just bad 😂
so now I’m convinced everyone who had trouble with the controls is just bad.
Same. I mean I experienced the occasional glitch here and there but overall I thought SS's motion controls worked just fine on the Wii. Dunno why so many people had issues with them.
"and berserker" give him black hair and yeah that'd look almost identical
I was about to comment on that. Demise really does bear a striking resemblance to Berserker.
And now I can't unsee Ghirahim as Hisoka.
“And that you’ll also end up swinging your sword when you try to move the camera”
I felt that 😂😭
Unpopular opinion but this is my second favorite Zelda after link to the past. The motions controls did take some time to get used to but after thr initial go through it felt like second nature.
It's really a shame that Skyward Sword was so maligned when it's really an incredible game solely because of motion controls. The Wii Motion Plus that came with it was the best 2011 motion controls ever were. A Link To The Past is perhaps my favorite Zelda (being my first Zelda game), but before the Wild-series, Skyward was probably the best all-around Zelda game.
I loved the Berserker comment. Where my Fate Fanatics at!?
To be honest, weapon upgrade existed back in Link to the past, where you could upgrade the master sword up to level 4, and some other item had en enhanced version if you threw them in the fairy fountain
The shield and boomerang, upgrading how many bombs and arrows you can carry plus acquiring the silver arrows just before the end of the game
Wand and Holy Bible from Zelda 1. Blue and Red Candle. Blue and Red Medicine. Key and Magical Key.
You should have called the Imprisoned 'Crest Commercial' or something
Also "hey Shear-Ri" got me wheezing so hard I went back in time lmao
The parody names for the characters alone is reason enough to like this video 😂
This really is the most accurate description of the game its sad that the gameplay suffered how epic the story was supposed to be
"Hey, Shear-Ri"! When can we expect a Twilight Princess and Wind Waker Switch remaster?
Fingers crossed over here
To play those old guys on the Switch would be incredible.
They already re-mastered those for the Wii U. Doubt they'll do it again for the Switch but who knows. Personally I'd rather see an Ocarina remaster.
The big avocado thing at the end looks like that giant beast from the DUNE reboot Trailer. And the dude he names last looks like Akuma from Street Fighter, if his head was totally on fire.
Calling Ganon Berserker genuinely gave me a chuckle.
Also, I hate that you made me unable to unsee the similarities.
Absolutely loved this game. Loved the plot and gameplay so much I'm going back into it with hero mode just so I can experience the story again. :D
That wild turn the series took was just the HD remake of the first game everyone wanted haha
That's why it has no dungeons and dungeon items! Couldn't possibly be more like the first game! 😂
"When the Groose is loose, it's all over for that caboooooose" has become one of my favorite lines ever, thank you for this gem.
One of my all time favorites. I didn't struggle with the Wii controls at all. Which made the swordplay very excellent and rewarding for me. I did not play the remaster. I think the motion controls are why i loved it so much and how i was able to ignore repetition and linear design
The motion controls are greatly improved in the switch version
Also this game still has the best plot and charters of any zelda game
And button controls are definitely far from anything bad.
I adored this game. And I adored it when I replayed it on the Switch. I don’t think this game is universally hated.
it's pretty hated. it's the worst 3D zelda easily
@@aliali-ce3yf Then I must’ve avoided the hate cause this game seems pretty beloved. Maybe not top 5 but it’s a really good game.
But do tell me how it’s the most hated game?
@@Fr0stbit3_ the gameplay is awful. the controls, the linearity, the backtracking, etc.
not sure where you're getting it's "beloved" - pretty much every review site acknowledged it's the worst 3D zelda (though some have it above twilight).
also the large majority who were confused why zelda would bring this to the switch over games most actually liked like windwaker
@@aliali-ce3yf I beat the game casually playing it for the past couple weeks and I had zero problems with the controls. Yes bad controls is a valid complaint but if you remove that and focus on the game itself then it’s a wonderful game. The Switch remaster is a huge improvement.
As far as backtracking goes, sure it may suck but it honestly never bothered me because you opened up new areas to explore when you returned to previous parts of the world.
Also if you’re curious where I got the beloved from, most of the reviews of this are super high.
It’s universally tolerated
Ghirahim as Hisoka.
I can’t see that anymore.
Berserker? You mean from Fate/Stay Night? Now I’m hoping for an Honest Trailer for that series
Please say "Wow, I can't believe we haven't done an Honest Trailer for Dragon Age yet." Then please do an actual Honest Trailer for Dragon Age.
Hey, I'm the guy who wants an Ace Combat trailer. Wanna team up? We'll try to get your Dragon Age trailer first and then my Ace Combat trailer?
Didn't play the original on the Wii, but I just completed the HD Remaster this weekend. Absolutely love the story, the way cutscenes were handled was really good, the dungeons were veryy unique and well designed, and the music was top notch... buuuuutttt it's definitely not one of my favorites. You hit a lot of the issues on the head with this one. The map designs really did feel like mini dungeons, and the back tracking was incredibly tedious. I think about 2/3rd of the way through the game where I had to go back to each location again to learn a piece of the last song... the game really started feeling like a chore. I literally even contemplated just putting the game back on the shelf after having to fight the Angry Avocado for the third time, like I didn't enjoy the boss fight the first two times... what makes them think I'd be down for a third time? I played the game on controller, and having to hold the L button to turn the camera was so clunky. I wish it was the other way around, Hold L with a feature that auto locks onto an enemy and doesn't when there's nothing there, and then use the sword. I think my last complaint is something more personal, and I really hate Skyward Swords art direction. Link's got those botox lips, and by Hylia I cannot stand the Bokoblin and Moblin designs.
7/10, will replay in five years.
I don't really see a point to playing it without the motion controls. They are way too tightly integrated. It's kind of funny, because people criticized Twilight Princess for having tacked on and pointless motion controls.
Please do an honest game trailer for Star Wars Republic Commandos
That awkward moment when an official skyward sword ad appears right before watching the honest trailer for the same game.
I guess I was just lucky, because I played Skyward Sword in my apartment living room with wall wide windows (a big well lit area) and the motion controls worked perfectly, like 95% of the time. 🤷🏽♂️
The game itself had flaws though. Fi’s constant interrupting is pretty bad, but my BIGGEST gripe was that every time you turned on the game, when link picked up ANY item, you had to go through the whole item introduction screen like it’s your first time seeing the damn thing. THAT got real aggravating. 😤
Apparently the Switch port fixes that as well as puts a muzzle on Fi. So that’s good.
Ok bye
The motion+ controls actually used the gyroscope inside the controller, not the sensor bar. There were three issues with the controls
1. You needed to re-calibrate the controller at the start of every game session, or mid-game if you played more than about 2 hours.
2. It was harder to play sitting on the couch vs. standing.
3. Skill issue.
3:57 Does it use the thumbstick controls when they're undocked? Because then there's the whole drift issue...
You can choose
this Honest Trailer summed up perfectly why I won't reattempt SSHD- it wasn't the janky motion controls, it was everything else.
I loved this game so much, can't wait to play the HD version soon
Playing it for the first time now on switch. Masterpiece.
This is now one of my favorites ... I don't think I laughed this hard at one of these ever 😂
Please say: "Lord of Shadows? How dare you! I ordered a skim decaf latte, not Full Cream! "
Ya gotta Do The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles for the Next Honest Game Trailers.
This was the 1st legend of Zelda game I ever played and its what got me to love the series.
If you loved this, you've got lots of amazing gaming experiences ahead of you if you keep exploring the series!

“Angry avocado” 😂😂😂
I want to hear you say: “you’ve just picked a fight against an alien hedgehog who watches way too many action movies. What do you do? What *do* you *do*.”
You guys should do ace attorney next, i would have no objections
Would you kindly make an Honest Game Trailer for Bioshock Infinite?
Never having played the Wii version, I have no frame of reference for how it was. The Switch port seems pretty good. Motion controls are a little wonky but nothing a gyro reset won't fix every couple of minutes, which being just a single instant button press isn't too bad.
Starring Hisoka 😂😂 I lost it, ngl
Please say. Wow dragonage was the best honest game trailer we've ever done can't believe we won an Oscar for it
Holy crap, we finally got one! Now do Assassin's Creed Syndicate.
This is actually my favorite Zelda game, and it really doesn't deserve the hate it gets. I love the motion controls, and Fi is actually my favorite companion!! It also has some of the most beautiful music and an absolutely GORGEOUS art style, and that story? Phenomenal.
I can't say I liked Fi, and I have a lot of mixed feelings regarding the more mechanical parts of the game. Having said that, its story is precisely as you say, Phenomenal. Navigating a boat with a time crystal in a sea that turned to sand years ago? That was freaking epic.
@@hackcubit9663 It is perfectly okay to not like Fi (even if you're wrong /lh)! I just think that the hate for her is far too much and the amount of game interference she actually does is blown out of proportion (from someone who has only played the Wii version, but did so fairly recently) and really not that bad. But again, I completely understand. I also do get you about the mechanical bits; I felt that the Goddess Harp and the Whip in particular were more unwieldy than I would have liked, but I think everyone just had a different experience with the motion controls (although they definitely needed some work, I agree). I'm glad we agree on the story!! And those concepts like the boat stuff were absolutely amazing
Same here, although I can understand the Fi annoyance. I just tuned her out outside of cutscenes.
Time to get to that Honest Game Trailer for Dragon Age: Origins, eh?
i kinda wish that the wii had a Dark Souls game, so that the everyone could actually git gud.
the switch does, and its kinda okay, too bad its impossible to close the game so it wont nag about losing your progress next time you decide to play it

Okay the timing couldn't be any better because I beat this game like an hour ago.
A 9/10 in my book
Ha I just beat it too. Longer than I thought and ultimately a satisfying end to the game.
swing your sword like you're trying to fight a swarm of bees. 100% accurate, give this man a medal.
That final fight with Demise was brutal... I mean it wasn't hard, I just kept accidentally selecting Fi when trying to target and shield bash at the same time...

This is a real game? XD
The game is 100% more enjoyable on a Pro Controller for Switch.
It’s making me really happy to read the comments because I was expecting a lot of hate, but so far I’ve only seen love for the game!
This is my favorite Zelda game for the exact reasons why it’s controversial. Motion controls? I never had a problem with them, and they’re the most fun I’ve ever had with controls. The sky? Flying always made me feel relaxed, listening to that beautiful music! Fi? My favorite Zelda companion! You can see her becoming more human over time, even if it’s subtle. Silent Realms? Stressful, but let me tell you, that feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction from finally making it through one, that’s the exact kind of feeling I play video games for. It makes me feel accomplished enough to make up for the fact that I don’t have anything else in my bland life to feel proud of- I mean, uh, it’s fun!
I love this game so much, and it’s taught me that even something that is considered a flaw can be turned into another reason to love if you change your perspective. A diamond with a bubble in it is considered imperfect, but isn’t that imperfect diamond more beautiful and unique than a solid one?
Motion controls were absolutely the best part. I also enjoyed the dungeon like areas because dungeons are my favorite part of Zelda games, but I can see how that would be frustrating for people who prefer open worlds. It's the same reason I found BoTW to be a mid game, even though I can recognize it had some really good parts the dungeons were just boring.
Forget to mention one of the heroes, the f**** amiibo that locks the feature of quick travel XD
Hopefully the Pokémon Unite Honest Game Trailer is next week.
0:24 - Hey! Zelda 2 is comparatively a masterpiece of game design!
At least Zelda 2 has an overworld to explore...
@Cheese Mostly, but not entirely. It's way better than none at all.
@Cheese The linear sections that are outside on the surface are not an overworld. They're more accurately levels due to their linear nature, and I wouldn't really call anything in them a "puzzle". A puzzle is something to figure out, not to be told how to solve (after you've already solved it within the first 5 seconds of seeing it.)
@Cheese After playing through it on the Wii U, there's no way I'm picking up another version of this game. Without an absolute overhaul of the game, there's no way they could've made it any good. They might've brought it from "Terrible" to "Okay", but even at "Okay", it would still be the worst game in the Zelda franchise.
The game's design had exactly two good ideas, and it underutilized them both; the timeshift stones and the ability to rearrange rooms in the final dungeon. In addition to all the handholding, nagging about batteries, repeating item descriptions, and a lack of any overworld whatsoever, the game failed in many other ways. The motion controls would always detect additional inputs whenever returning your hand back to a neutral position to make the next swing (possibly fixed in HD, I don't know), causing combats to take twice as long as they should. The combats are designed around waiting for VERY long periods of time for a very small opening that only allows you to get one hit in, artificially extending the length of play rather than actually putting more into the puzzle designs and quantity to make the game an actually reasonable length. The game requires you to repeat combats with regular enemies when revisiting an area (it's traditional in Zelda games to be able to run passed most regular overworld enemies if you so choose, especially later in the game.) The HD version locked one of the new quality of life abilities behind an Amiibo (which is just unethical, regardless of how little usage the ability actually has).
There is simply too much that makes it not just bad for a Zelda game, but bad for a video game at all, which is a far lower standard not to meet.
@@thajocoth the amiibo lock is pretty ridiculous, but the game as a whole is really not that bad of a Zelda game once you get the hang of the controls. Haven’t had a problem for a while. Zelda 2 gets worse with bs enemy placements and having to backtrack every time you lose making it way more boring every time.
@@jeffreyali3644 Each of the extra laps in Zelda 2 nets you experience points which often result in leveling up more... So the more you fail, the stronger you get. It makes those long walks back far less frustrating... But Zelda 2 did introduce the terrible "wait for an opening" combat style to Zelda, and Ocarina was inspired primarily by Zelda 2, and that snowballed into Skyward Sword having an extreme version of that same problem, so I suppose that, in a way, a lot of what's terrible about Skyward Sword came indirectly from Zelda 2... But Skyward Sword is a distilled form of those bad design decisions, lacking any positive attributes to go with it. Each of those waiting cycles for enemies, for example, takes absolutely forever. Even Zelda 2 never had you wait *that* long.
Man, this one is one of my favorites :(
But wait, there's a switch port?? How did I not know about this???
I’m surprised that he knows Berserker.

I'm probably in the minority of people who actually really enjoyed this game when it first came out on the Wii
You're actually in the majority. The original Skyward Sword had a 91% review average on Metacritic and sold millions of copies. There is a small but extremely loud minority of gamers who think it's the "worst" Zelda game ever.
I did as well. Most of the issues I had with the motion controls was just being bad until I learned to stop flailing somewhere around the first real dungeon.
