Also we are addressing a very tiny annoying issue that’s been literally bugging the guests while they’re eating, but I’m sure Disney will solve the situation in no time! HOPEFULLY!

Eat a late breakfast on the ship, pack some snacks in your bag, then return to the ship for early dinner. I would skip the food on the island. Gross!!

So many flies. It’s probably the time of year.
Yeah, summer time I’m sure is worse, specially if there are dead fish and animals nearby, then the brand new food places will attract them as well! Hopefully Disney will solve this issue soon!
Disney does not have an issue at the parks so why are they not doing the same at the island! I do not remember flies like this at Castaway Cay?
I believe it’s because Disney sprays the Parks, Resorts and Castaway Cay. Lighthouse Point is on leased land owned by Eleuthera and may not be able to do that sort of spraying. I’ve got to guess they either didn’t test to see how that much food would cause such a bug problem and they’re finding ways to mitigate it.

Were there flies at all the food stations?
There were more on some but few flying around all of them! My friend is on the Fantasy now, which stopped in Lookout Cay for the first time yesterday (after us), and she said she didn’t see that many, but still some, I guess they are already aware of the situation!
flies!!!!! so many = "Yuck" lol Did Disney build it next to the island garbage dump. lol
