Johannes, so sorry for your disappointment! Okay, you made a mistake in the sprint but it's easily correctable by staying full throttle through the finish line regardless of where you think others are -- show the world that you're there to CRUSH everyone! The 15K was a good test to see where your form is in comparison to others. Perhaps the toughest piece is that you're coming into this WC season as top dog! Emotionally, isn't it easier chasing the top spot than maintaining the top spot? Bulshonov wants that title badly! Regroup, assess your training, rest when you're supposed to rest....and then get effing pissed off and spare no one on the race course!!! All of us out here scattered across the globe are vying for you and feeling your pain and watching the races with sweaty palms!
You learned a lesson in an early season race. It's ok. Now you must drive for the line every time, no matter what. It's the new style. Thank you Johannes for your openness and sharing. You give us all a great deal with your champion's spirit.
Keep going! You have to learn about your mistakes and come more strong in the future. I hope you will beat that russian in Lillehammer...

It's not easy, being as forthcoming as you have here, sharing with us your feelings after such a heartbreaking loss. It's hard, seeing you so sad, Johannes. But the fact that you were able to face your supporters following such disappointment, admit your mistake, that is a sign of maturity, and a trait that will take you far in life. Now you need to put this behind you and move forward, having learned a valuable lesson, stronger and more determined than ever. Take this disappointment and make it your strength, Johannes. Life will continue to challenge you, on and off the course, but if you have faith in yourself, in your talent, and stay focused you will persevere, no doubt! You are the best! As you say, "livet smiler!" Chin up!!! :)

Hey! It was just a first week and there is a lot more to come. Losing definitely sucks, but you shouldn't care about past too much. What is gone it’s gone and you can’t change it already, you can just learn from it and do better next time. Just keep going. I mean you’re still there you just need to get your confidence back. Everything will work out! We all believe in you so much! Cheer up!

+1 on live streams!! Also, keep your head up! Mistakes and failures must happen so you can learn valuable lessons that make you stronger. Just learn from this mistake and move on so you can benefit from it. If you stay held up on it then a great lesson can be reversed into an even worse failure.

Don't lock yourself in this week! I know it's hard but try to forget last weekend and now just look in the future. Everyone makes mistakes but you can't let one lose to ruin your season. Remember that the season just started and there are many many races left. You are a great skier and I'm sure you are going to race well in Lillehammer if you just forgive the mistake yourself and keep going strong. Good luck beating Bolshunov, I know you can do it!
