Danni from my experience working in a thrift creating a scent is not the best way to keep the store fresh because a lot of people are very sensitive to orders. Instead get one or two air purifiers and plug them in at a couple locations in the store . It’s pretty well impossible to get rid of food smells being cooked close by.
You can also put a little essential oil on a piece of T.P. and add to the purifier. Yes people are sensitive to scents. I wouldn't use anything specific but will add citrus or red apple kinda pleasing to all

Agreed. I always get a headache when I smell those air refreshing stuff and avoid them. Can’t you install some kind of simple ventilation to suck all those smell out?
Talk to your landlord if the neighbor odors in your space as they should using an exhaust fan to the outside and you shouldn’t have to smell their cooking. Might be a position of you ac to close to their outside exhaust fan exhaust.
I agree that air purifiers would be your best best. I can't even stand those car air fresheners or Febreze spray. ha ha...on the days they cook the veggies, rent a popcorn maker and give out free popcorn. That is a great smell!!!!
Just a thought, You may want to rethink fragrance to cover up food smells it could cause a more unpleasant smell depending what fragrance you use, air purifier may work better
I saw a vintage Otagiri Irish coffee cup on the shelf at a Salvation Army near me. It sat there for 2 weeks. Every time I saw it I would think, “If there were 2 I’d buy them.” Then suddenly one day, like magic, there were two. Into my cart please!!!
I was laughing when you were asking if it was a kangaroo or a wallaby and you said " it only gives you the names of the plants" while your hand was next to a giant "Australian kangaroo and koala" plackard on the tea towel. 😆 I do the same thing often - I'm so focused on one particular thing that I'm missing a lot of details. LOL
Danni vacuum at the end of the night or first thing in the morning- but first SPRINKLE PLAIN BAKING SODA on the carpet and let set about 10 minutes. Also, bags of the kind of charcoal that goes in fish filters - actified charcoal I think) hung or placed about in porous cloth bags will help neutralize the odor. ( you can buy them made but much cheaper to do yourself - I use the tulle bags from the dollar store made for party favors etc or for bigger amounts I get tulle circles from a craft store and just gather up and tie off tightly.) White vinegar set out in bowls (maybe do during closed hours) will absorb odors also - especially good on smoke smells, cigarettes and fire smoke! Good to add a little water to and spray on carpets or inside stinky shoes - but needs a day for the white vinegar smell to dissappear completely. These are some scent free odor neutralizers that should not affect those with allergies. But a commercial no scent air purifier is probably a good long term purchase.
I wish you grabbed those glass domes, at your store you have a bakery section with fake cakes donuts and fruits, bon appetit would of been so cute with some donuts underneath.

DoTERRA Essential Oils can help clean the air and since they are pure and natural, don't usually effect folks with allergies and sensitivities. I'm severely allergic and sensitive to so many scents, though the doTERRA essential oils don't effect me. OnGuard is great to clean the air as well as citrus scents, which most folks like. Place several diffusers throughout the store.
Hi Danni, nice video. I was surprised you passed up the panda egg. That would go great on WN. I have to chime in with the others scents in a store can be off-putting. A good air purifier installed on the common wall with the bakery would probably be a good idea. And in my home I use white vinegar and water on Sam's footwear. His feet don't smell but working in building construction he sometimes picks up funky, musty, odors. Also great for my furniture as the cats go wherever they please. If you decide not to think in this manner guess what will happen??? Your thoughts become your reality and I don't think you want that to happen. So Be It!!!
Your primary care doctor can prescribe you a type of sedative for flying. I have a big fear of flying but I do it to Florida from Ohio, because I don't feel like driving 24 hours.
There are group classes you can attend to help overcome the fear of flying. The plane is a lot safer than the car and yet you ride in the car several times a day.
As many have mentioned, and as someone who suffers from allergies, I would suggest trying an essential oil infuser rather than any Air Wicks or candles.
The flying anxiety is ridiculous, but I'm exactly the same. I hear myself with all my reasons not to and think I'm ridiculous. My son took his first flight last year. He's 20, so he's an adult. I took him to the airport and was a nervous wreck his entire flight. He liked it, thought flying was fine. He definitely doesn't get that from me, and nothing made me happier than knowing that. I want him to live, travel, not be afraid. He wants to go to Japan and doesn't care if he goes alone. I can't even calmly think about that. The one thing I do, however, is I don't stop him. He knows I'm a nervous wreck, but he also knows I want him to experience the world the way he wants to. I'll battle my own anxiety, I won't push it onto him. Knowing he's happy and enjoying life brings me happiness.
My Mom was that way with flying. Since all her sisters took a trip they had to fly to, she booked 2 flights so if one plane went down the other sisters would still be here for all the kids. LOL

Once you fly, you will ask yourself. Why didn’t I do this before? I first flew in 1979 and I don’t even know how many times I have flown. Been to Cabo been to Oklahoma twice been to Hawaii. I have flown to Illinois I really cannot remember all my trips. Vegas to Seattle after a NASCAR race before that wasn’t very fun. My husband beat me home because my father-in-law made me miss my flight.

In fact the annual risk of being killed in a plane crash for the average American is about 1 in 11 million. On that basis, the risk looks pretty small. Compare that, for example, to the annual risk of being killed in a motor vehicle crash for the average American, which is about 1 in 5,000. That is a huge difference in risk, even if you factor in the fact that the risk in car driving is so high due to the frequency of driving as compared to the frequency of flying
Febreze is a good product , I used it when my dog got sprayed by a skunk. He rubbed his body on the furniture and it covered the smell. Even comes in a plug-in.
Buy an OZONE aerosol. It should take care of the odor In your store. I think Walmart carrys it but not sure. It only takes a few quick sprays, so don't over spray. You can also search the internet, but you already know that.
Just my suggestion if you are considering burning candles at the store: 1. Solid candles need to be Soy. Others give off black soot that lead to cleaning issues. 2. Consider candles with essential oil for best scent. 3. Plug in air freshener are safer than burning candles. I feel essential oil air fresheners are the best such as Air Wick brand. Be aware that some of your customers may be sensitive to smells.

I picked up a beaded black clamshell purse, it is definately a quality bag. It has weighed bottom, so it sits up on the table. Its been posted a while. I used it myself, for my holiday party! (Selling it as used, so why not?). It is so elegant, I'm considering just keeping it. Interested to see what you value it at.

Try using some air purifiers first before using fragrance! I know, your store is big, but some people may be allergic to strong fragrances.

I'd rather smell cooking odors than those artificial scents. A purifier gets my vote.

You aren’t alone. I have fear of flying too. I used to be fine with flying until age 29 when suddenly panic overtakes me when I try to fly 😱
I change all my decor 4x a year so don't mind some cheap stuff at a cheap price like that tray. As long as it doesn't look cheap.

Don't put fragrance in your store. Too many of us have asthma and sensitivity to scents. I would never be able to shop at Good Stuff
Oust is a smell remover with no scent.
If you need a freshener, the best thing to use is essential oils in a diffuser. Most fragrances are loaded with chemicals...even carcinogens.
