I have thoughts, about joining Phlebotomist. But my important question is, how much does a Phlebotomist get paid hourly. And is the Salary high wage. And does it depend where the person works. Like a hospital or clinic.
You could also look it up for your area. Expect it to take a few months. Study on your own, too. Don't just rely on classes to teach you what you need to know. Where are you located? State, I mean. Some of the local workers in my state and town (Oregon) make around $22-$25 an hour.
I was encouraged my by family to do this. But I've been enjoying writing projects i made and i found investing that is what makes me happy. But im very nervous just learning about this
@@WithGrantwas gonna say, I make 15$, and have everything going for me but a career, fam wants me to move out relatively soon, I just want to get into something that’s will forsure get me a job. I have an Econ degree from university of Hawaii and hasn’t done a damn thing for my chances with jobs, it’s been crazy/depressing.
As far as i can see in my pursuit for a better career, they are in high demands and i think it was like an 8% increase in demand in this feild up to 2026. So sustaining a job as a phlebotomist should be easy as far as I can see. Also. It could take you places if you like traveling, or so I've read. If anything. Getting into any medical career path will be rewarding and sustaining. Best of luck to you! I mean you could honestly start out as a housekeeper at the hospital then move to receptionist and then take on phlebotomy or sanitary technician and then theres CT or MRI and so on. Just starting somewhere in the medical field could change anyone's life. 👍 @Pursuitofbalance
Is it guaranteed you will get the all the sticks/pokes you need during your externship? I was also wondering how long is the externship and how does it work? for example is it going for a week straight or is it flexible like being able to go on weekends?

Absolutely! All you need is a high school diploma. Preppy's Phlebotomy program is beginner-friendly as well, so even if you didn't study Biology in high school, it won't be a problem.
