    Jason, thanks so much. Really enjoyed this video but in all candor I could have done without the music. My dad and I used to hunt elk and mule deer just south of Afton. This brought back a lot of fond memories.

    Keep doing what you do and don’t worry about the breathing sounds or occasional distraction. You have great advice, glad I found your channel! Glad you put a pic of the scene, to use for assessment . Great video and fantastic work.

      Thank you so much Robert! Had to learn to now breath from my mouth when painting (I've heard it's actually good advice no matter what you are doing). Thanks for watching!

    nice work!!!!!! but i have to say, i would have used a way bigger brush to start with to block in to quickly shape the form and value. i am just not a patient person i guess. still thanks for the sharing :)

    great demo. Subscribing for sure. What brand is your paint box/palette? haven't seen it before and like the simplicity and size of it.

    • @JasonTako

    Love your videos, informative, interesting, and relaxing!!! However, I have to say the music was REALLY distracting in this video. Sorry. But that's the only negative. 😊

    • @JasonTako
      @JasonTako  Před 2 lety

      Thanks Terry! I dropped the music from my videos months ago.

  • @vickiescallan5651

    Are you having trouble breathing today or is it the altitude I like your work I just feel like you're struggling to breathe

  • @peggymary
    @peggymary Před 3 lety +1

    Another question: What's the grey color on left side of your palette? never seen that before either and you seem to use it a lot to good effect. Very informative video!

    • @JasonTako
      @JasonTako  Před 3 lety +1

      The gray you are probably referring to is Gamblin's Portland Gray Warm. It's great for plein air painting and getting subtle warm highlights on distant objects like mountains. Here is more info: gamblincolors.com/neutral-greys-portland-grey-light-portland-grey-medium-portland-grey-deep/

    This is a great video...but the music is way to distracting. To loud and repetitive. I watched because of the artist. Please consider dialing the music way back. It doesn't really add anything other than a since of irritation. You on the other hand are a great teacher and a very good artist.

    • @JasonTako
      @JasonTako  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for the feedback Shelia! I added the music because I was breathing a bit heavy due to the altitude and because of background traffic noise. But you are not the first to recommend I eliminate it. While I cannot eliminate it in this video or some others I've posted, I have eliminated it in my last few videos and plan to leave it out in the future, unless it's a time-lapse. It saves in editing time anyway. Thanks for watching!

    How do you know if things need to be cooler or warmer

    • @JasonTako
      @JasonTako  Před rokem

      By looking at them and knowing the principles of aerial perspective. I teach these things in my painting workshops.

    Please dispense with that annoying music. Would rather hear your voice or silence. But I very much enjoy your techniques.

    • @JasonTako
      @JasonTako  Před 3 lety +1

      Not sure if you saw my response to all the other people who said this, but I have eliminated music in my recent videos, I can't change it in this one.

  • @robertbickel6476
    @robertbickel6476 Před 3 lety +2

    Do away with the music, please. It's a bit much. Annoying. Thanx for the video.

      Can't remove it from this one but no longer have it in future videos.
