These guys are so damn talented they should not only make OP/ED but also video game music ... Like an epic JRPG or something. I really love their style jahdiahdiahs
The problem is, if the show/game is not very good, it could ruin their reputation. However, if the show or game, is successful, still, in the future, when making music, they wouldn’t be as independent, considering that they could be associated/lumped together with the show or game, which they had worked with, restricting their creativity and individuality. To sum it all up, it’s a gamble, it could benefit them, it could be inconvenient in the future, it might even hurt their career. Anyhow, I agree full heartedly, they’re awesome. ❤️

@@zaimanity8893 Well, to put simply, the composer (and apparently art designer) have done work for game/anime OP/EDs before. Now I can’t exactly say what’s up with them personally, but you can imagine there’s probably a good reason why they haven’t done a major project since 2015/16. And to put things into perspective, exactly as the other guy above said, what they have ended up working on well, wasn’t particularly the most successful of projects.
Granted, I wouldn’t say they/everyone involved lost money on it, but sales were generally simply manageable and likely did not hit major targets.
Those projects being, initially, 11Eyes games and anime under the band Asriel, then the lead singer went solo and the label they were tied to, .5pb, became MAGES. and I’d imagine contracts would have needed to be remade, so Asriel was cut and reformed into UROBOROS signed on with Pony Canyon for a grand total of two albums before that too split ways, one being a album themed around a major release for an anime, Black Swallowtail (Another Ark album) for Rokka no Yuusha/Rokka of the Six Braves, an anime which is amazing and you should watch it, but sadly underperformed in sales, and then the second album Zodiac was just a general release, after which the group was disbanded for reasons which are presumably not publicly known (most likely not hitting sales targets I can imagine though), at which point the three years between 2016 and 2019 are a blank from what minuscule research I’ve done, with 2019 finally coming around with Elfensjon’s establishment.
Ultimately though, if it wasn’t for the veteran members’ work on the above franchises, I can at least tell you that I most likely wouldn’t be here today as much as I love another music artist’s style which is fairly adjacent to Elfensjon’s (but with their own unique spin rather than something similar to Kurose’s. Kurose’s composition I can almost guarantee you is one-of-a-kind.)
Unfortunately I missed the premiere, but listening to the preview is almost as good. Hanatan being the 'sister' of the album will be a treat given her incredible talent, and the album sounds like it'll be another step up in terms of composition and production. I'm looking forward to getting to listen to the full album for sure!
