It's inherited from gymnastic being a really old sport from when men and women had very different and defined objectives from working out. If you check the proper general category (not college), most of the artistic requisites have been removed in order to have a more objective rating for the routines. Maybe in 20 years the dancing parts will be optional and in 50 no more dancing, but idk.

@@auspicious93 well, one thing to consider is you have hundreds of gymnasts, from lvl9, lvl10, and elite. so how do you write a code to maximize competitiveness? you end up focusing on execution, over how crazy of a skill can you attempt. sometimes you end up with a kyla ross bars that's very simple but uses the code to the maximum, and she ends up with 20+ 9.95's.
Its telling that in a land of 10.0 we are bombarded with the little pleasure doll all the time. But then, you have to hand it to the young men. they have given her a hand up on her monetary worth. It sets a bad president for WAG. Now, not only do you have to be gymnastically talented, you have to be “pretty” and “cute” and a 80-90% noclothes online soft corn star. I have nothing against her. She should take the money and run. And she should enjoy it. Just remember to explain to the next gen. of gymnasts, that if you not model-level beautiful, this whole process is not meant to reward the .
I personally think its pathetic how all the other girls intimate her routine as she is doing it and shout and scream out loud the whole way through especially if she does something she has been practicing for 20 years as if it was a marvel or something, grow up the lot of you.
