don’t get me wrong i love “new” groot and rocket but it will never be the same as old groot and rocket 😭

Because the og groot and rocket was more like homies/brothers in arms. Versus baby groot (og groot offspring, sapling,) and rocket are more like father and son

Rocket and Groot were brother in arms in the first film, it’s canon that baby groot from guardians 2 infinity war endgame and guardians 3, is actually Groot’s son/offspring, so rocket basically adopted Groot’s orphan son
