    could you please explain role of frit in reference elecrode

      The frit prevents the reference electrode solution from contaminating the sample solution, while still permitting ion conduction between the two solutions. It acts as a low-resistance junction between the two solutions.

      Yes, it should be mercurous chloride in the SCE electrode.
