He's 15-16, a FIRST year highschooler. His injuries should be punches to the face, some bruises or headaches. Maybe even being tossed around but instead he went through injuries that should and would have permanently paralyzed, injured and/or outright kill him. But for plot reasons, he didn't. I think it's fair for the parents to have a heart attack seeing that.

Fun fact: Izuku doesn't teleport he act moves very fast as teleporting is not one of the ofa users quirks but fasting your speed is. Izuku was also using 100% of ofa so super speed is included! (not hate comment just fact that everyone doent get)
