Bro, you're not kidding. Just got back to Pattaya from Phnom Penh. Dude on a moped tried to mug me for my phone. He was not successful but it's super sketchy at night. Stayed at Hotel Essence which Agoda has been promoting a lot. Definitely not worth the price. Happy to be back in Thailand. Thanks as always for the content. Cheers.
This...I LOVED Phnom Penh until I was literally robbed at gunpoint in the gut. It was 10am too, not at night! Though I was walking with a bandaged foot and a limp, so maybe I have nobody to blame but myself. I went to a police station and they wanted $400-500 to "investigate," AKA do their jobs! Definitely visit Cambodia, but JFC be careful and don't just walk around alone, especially at night. It is NOT Thailand. The ones that robbed me were clearly organized crime and even forced me into a jewelry store. I might visit PP again in 5-10 years, but not anytime soon!
Definitely interested in more videos from Cambodia. Very interesting to see the difference between it and Thialand. I’ve got family from both countries.

Hey Bk112 awesome videos you have. I nearly got mugged in PP in Jan 2020, I was wondering alone late at night, a bit drunk and after nightclubbing. This was on riverside, a couple of dudes on a motorbike. Managed to scare them off before they got anything from me. I would still go back there just a little bit more careful next time. If you are alone, you make an easy target but as long as you stand your ground then its all good. Look forward to going back there hopefully at then end of the year. Would love to see a Myanmar trip Bk 112 style :)

Vang Vieng has things to show that are not seen in tourists videos. If you can bear the four hours of uncomfortable road from Vientiane (or five from Luang Prabang), it will change from big cities. I also vote for Hua Hin.

14:43 I stayed in the Ohana Hotel opposite for a few nights a couple of years ago. That market was very smelly and noisy. Heading back to Phnom Penh in 2 weeks for 3 nights. This time I have my Thai partner with me so not staying in the Lux Hotel on Street 136. :) Decided to try a more expensive and luxurious place close to the Palace on Street 19. Safely away from the girlie bars but still not far from the river.
