This is the first game in a while to just show me a character(Scylla, in this instance), and just have me say, "I love this character already." Strap yourselves in gang, this'll be a good series!
Reto, since you didn't get a chance to see Eris' blessing: It made you take 20% more damage, and 5% *more* damage for every room you cleared with the blessing. Eris likes to do a little trolling. She's a funny gal like that. :)
The devs really thought "Hmm this game isn't hard enough for people trying to do a night one win. Lets make it so they literally have to nohit the game at some point.
she is such a damn good MC too. she has the exact same level of quality that zagreus had. i love her abilities so much

Eris was holding her aspect gun, oh boy, then that mean Hecate really does be rocking a machine gun as well
And Nemesis wields her aspect sword. I love details like that
The music during the Scylla fight is INSANE
I think it's a nice touch how when you stun/kill individual characters, their part of the music stops.
The second boss is sooooo cool. Great mechanics and killer music makes for a truly cinematic fight
you can always tell which hecate is the real one by when she teleports, she has a sort of purple blackish haze around her and the others don’t. at least i think so 😅
The sirens music is epic

Damn you got all the way to Scylla in your first run, shows how awful I am at this game it took me over 10 runs to get to her and I’ve only beaten her like twice since. Still having fun though but damn am I bad.
Been holding off watching these till I had a chance to play for myself but super excited to see the runs now. Felt super weird when I did my first run but have been really enjoying it so far

Edit: you can see Eris‘ blessing in your boons. Don’t know if it’s random I had the same blessing twice, only met her twice too though.
For me it was 20% more dmg received this encounter +5% after each encounter.

Feels like Hades 2 wants you to take a bit more time with each fight. In the first game you just spammed double dash into dash attacks and if u had Athena dash you just couldn't die. I'm glad that dodging feels a bit harder in the sequel since it makes mastering the game feel more rewarding

Not a bad first attempt against the second boss. Which would you say is tougher, the second boss in this game or the Hydra in the first game?
Sirens > Hydra in difficulty _easy_ imo, might change over time as I learn it more but yeeeeah I don't think that will change unless it gets nerfed like Hydra did when more content gets added to smooth the difficulty curve.
@@Retromation I really hope they don't get nerfed. If anything, I want an equivalent to Extreme Measures that makes the fight last longer so I can hear their music more (and because it's a fun fight).

it was the railgun right wonder if we'll see the other weapons as well so far only the sword and railgun have appeared

I liked for abs.
As a viewer it feels like narratively it would be best to start a video with the meta progression then show that progression in action via a new run for a video. I bet you'll have better watch retention if you do so because the pacing of the video is better. I know in this case as your first run that would be awkward but it might be a format to consider going forward. I enjoy the Hades content please keep it coming.

Is the dark meta progression better than Hades 1 or is it still very poorly done?
can't say yet, if it is the same as the technical test it is a lot better, but I don't know
Hades is great, the metaprogression was always the weakest part to me. They could have said it better, but I don't think it is fully wrong. The game was fantastic and I think people assume that must mean _every part of it wholesale was fantastic,_ which doesn't have to be true.

Why are the sirens mermaids? Sirens are birds not fish until the 9th century way past the time of the greek myths
Actually, there were some depictions of sirens as mermaids in Greece as early as the 3rd century BCE. Notably, the Odyssey never describest hem at all, so later writers and artists depicted them as they saw fit. Bird women were the most common depiction until the Middle Ages though.
