I am so tired of people saying why didn’t Peter use his iron spider legs. They can only do so much. @@chidiamuta3014I think he means his strength, grip is already powerful enough to swing from buildings and match strength with other powerful beings and also being SUPER Sticky with his hands meaning he should be able to keep the web in his hand for a great amount of time.
Genuinely the only reason why Peter couldn't save them alone is plot convenience. This dude has pulled amazing feats of strength AND HE HAS IRON SPIDER ARMS!
@@orlandoacosta2631agree he is not Superman but you underestimate how strong Peter actually is, which is understandable because he rarely showcases the upper levels of his strength. Several rollercoaster cars shouldn't be much issue considering he has lifted much heavier things under worse conditions.
I need someone to explain to me why Peter doesn’t utilize his iron spider arms here like he has done in other moments during this game. The fact that Peter resorts to allowing the girl to fall and die instead of utilizing every resource he has available is complete character sabotage. EDIT: I want to clarify this point for extra context going forward with this discussion, as I've seen some people with thoughts and opinions who I think just don't fully understand how Peter's power's work. When he got bit by the spider it didn't just magically grant him powers, he gained the abilities of a spider, meaning Peter is literally a spider in human form. To keep a long story short, scientists confirm that a spider can lift anywhere from 50-200x their body weight, so if Peter truly can "do whatever a spider can", then that means the roller coaster carts, which are roughly about half the weight of a modern day motorized vehicle, should not be an issue for our beloved superhero to pull up here, given that we see Peter can catch cars in mid air and gently place them back down after skidding off the road during the car chase segments. Referring to his spider-arms again however, I understand the tower leaning against him was a stressful situation for him, and maybe his spider-arms wouldn't have been strong enough to pull the thing off him, however after the Sandman boss fight we see him use the arms to pull a giant boulder off of the Subway station entrance with relative ease, and here he doesn't even attempt to use them to save his life, or at least make it easier for him to pull the carts up before giving up. Peter would never let an innocent civilian die without exhausting every resource available to him first, thus, making it character sabotage.
This is why Peter needs to stay spider man, cuz he’s always there to help even when he is just trying to enjoy his life, like where TF was miles during all this? He could’ve helped to busy “cooling off”
Saying that Peter "accepted" that they were gonna die is a bit of a stretch tbh... Either way I feel really bad for him here. He lost his job, Is losing aunt mays house, and when he finally gets to spend time with his friends and family he ends up almost letting people die. Peter goes through it in these games man lol but that's how Spider-Man has always been
Honestly seeing hero realize that they can’t save people is always so heartbreaking. Peter sounds so devastated thinking that these people are about to do because he’s not strong enough. While Harry showing up was awesome, I think it woulda been very interesting to see Peter’s reaction if they had died. Plus it would add so much depth to later in the game when he doesn’t wanna give up the Symbiote cause now he CAN save everyone
To me the power scaling seems inconsistent in this game. Just after Harry steps in to help Peter easily yanks both the roller coasters with ease so it gets me wondering why he couldn’t have done that before the debris is falling on him
Maybe because he used two arms to yank them instead of using one arm?? Did you not see how he had an entire thing on top of him he was holding with one arm?
@sidthiru1509 he was holding it in place so everyone can climb out. He then yank upwards for those who's still stuck in the sit. Did you even pay attention??
he was holding it so everyone could climb out - if he threw the carts in the air with them in it… what would happen to them? they’d die he couldn’t throw it after the debris fell. once it was lifted, he could throw it.
Ik this could have taken a divine turn into the darknezz and all but… Can we just acknowledge the fact that this Spider-Man can bicep curl 6,000 pounds with each arm at the same time?
I’m glad you said that! For some reason people are still calling Spider-Man weak in this game and in this scene because he isn’t able to just lift it up immediately and save the day. They’re mad because he struggles
@@The-Legend-of-PSome people don’t realize that Spider-Man isn’t super man, he is human, and there is a limit to what he can do. He just preforms at his best.

The one thing I didn’t understand was, why didn’t Peter attempt to use his spider arms, or why didn’t MJ call miles? Why didn’t no one send an alert to the spider app, the one that miles could have saw and been like yo I need to go back there and see what’s going on.
@@g3nd1a69then he woulda lost all grip and balance and the weight of the rollercoaster cars would send him going backwards and in a worse position kinda
That platform was unstable, Miles could have been dealing with a whole other crime. Just cause there are two spidermen doesn’t mean they’ll be at each others hip all the time
Web bomb is the first thing that comes to mind. Keeps the structure intact and a quick improvisation to give peter some breathing room to figure it out on the spot.
Okay... hear me out. Imagine if Peter did actually fail to save those last few civilians. Harry tries to help him, and also fails, leading to Peter's discovery of the Symbiote. Peter feels he deserves/needs the parasite more to be a "stronger" Spiderman, which leads to his inevitable Symbiote Spiderman arc. This would add a much darker to tone to the story that is arguably necessary to contrast with the game's 2018 predecessor.
I think I would have preferred the story more if the person stuck actually died or at least if this event had more effect on Peter. It would have given him more motive to keep the symbiote to become a better Spiderman.
He was getting crushed underneath a tower while trying to pull the carts up, if he pulled them up and ignore the tower the tower would crush him , kinda seems like that’s what’s happening

I can understand Sandman but Kraven is a different case. Kraven learns from their enemies and finds their weaknesses. Let's not forget that he killed almost all of the Sinister Six.
People keep asking why Spiderman doesn't use his spider arms. Two reasons. One character wise and one practical. In regards to practicality, the platform he was on was unstable. Utilizing the arms to reinforce his position wouldn't amount to much if the platform was going to collapse. In regards to character, theres a lot of things Spiderman couldve done to save them. But he doesnt always make the best decisions under stress. He is human after all, he might've been unwilling to risk the civilians safety with a "faster" method of getting them out like webbing them out the cart. He might've felt he was committed to how he was saving them already and to change it would put them in danger. The situation was worsened by a part of the structure collapsing. Under pressure, he could only think to hold on and hope he was strong enough. But it would've ended up in their deaths given the platform was about to collapse. Spiderman isnt perfect. He cant save everyone alone. That's why Harry had to step in.
They didn't, he had an entire rollercoaster on him while trying to keep the people from dying. This is different from the time when he saved those two people in Fisk Tower.
For those who are saying Peter was weak in this game, think about it for awhile. Eversince Spider-man 1. He was not the same, he was mentally weak here due to trauma. HIS HEAD ISNT IN THE GAME.

The fact people keep saying he got nerfed cause of this moment is crazy. You guys would have a heart attack if u read the comics and saw how Peter gets treated there🤣🤣
Dude a 1 billion pound metal tower fell on him and he stopped it in its tracks, he wasn’t nerfed. He just wasn’t trying to pull up the rollercoasters because everyone would fall out or the whole thing would break. He was stabilizing it so people could climb off it
Peter had to control his strength or else everything would fall apart, if he shoved the debris off, they’d fall and die, if he yanked them up, they’d all fall out and die. He just wanted the safest route for them.
So what happened to him being able to lift tanks and trains with ease? This should have been easy for him considering he is supposed to be lifting a heavier beam wit ha single hand in the same scene.
In this situation he’d have been fucked no matter what he tried, there’s too much weight at too awkward an angle, and he has to keep the carts balanced good enough that the people dont fall. He could try to focus on lifting the ride, but the platform was so unstable he was probably too afraid that it might collapse if he shifted too much. that combined with again, the horrible angle he’s at, bent over sideways relying on ONLY the strength of his arms.
@@dreemurrprince Except the weight he had to lift would be less than him ripping parts of buildings off when weaker. He is literally has both arms straight out at times. One of the BEST positions to pull things in towards you if your muscles were trained to do that stuff. Considering he literally sling-shots things doing this, I'd say he does. I mean he also had a beam that he could have attached his web, or multiple if he was smarter, to so he could climb down. It's not like the games haven't shown his webs holding sides of buildings and ripping pavement before. I mean if he was worried about the beam he was on, what would be different if he did attach it to the beam itself? The weight and movement would be the same. The only difference is he would have more points of contact for his web due to being able to apply multiple. That would have made it less likely to be unstable. Also if he was, he wouldn't have had people climb the webs. He could have done one or more of the following: 1) Web the other beams falling in his direction to keep them still and add integrity to the structure. 2) Apply multiple webs to the carts and attach them to the beam he was on. 3) Make a web net to catch the carts/people. 4) Used his foot/feet to hold the beams together. 5) use the tech he had throughout the game that caught the bad guys falling on the civilians. 6) hold the carts still with webbing and get everyone off by hand. 7) Put the fires out using his webs, they are fire retardant/proof. 8) Create a web-dome to cushion the impact. This are things he I known for. People today aren't as imaginative. He literally made parachutes from his webs before in the comics and early shows. This is supposed to be an experienced Peter.

That on top of the fact that there is a new Spider-Man that has more abilities at his disposal, abilities that could potentially, save more lives if they were in his hands.

Genuinely the only reason why Peter couldn't save them alone is plot convenience. This dude has pulled amazing feats of strength AND HE HAS IRON SPIDER ARMS!
I forgot about the iron spider arms but I think rollercoaster cars are pretty heavy tbh
The platform he was on was unstable thus if he pulled out his spider arms the platform would be more unstable and he was in a stressful situation
He's not superman, you realize he has a freaking rollercoaster on top of him right whilst trying to keep the car balanced
I just realised the Spider arms would’ve solved most of this situation
@@orlandoacosta2631agree he is not Superman but you underestimate how strong Peter actually is, which is understandable because he rarely showcases the upper levels of his strength. Several rollercoaster cars shouldn't be much issue considering he has lifted much heavier things under worse conditions.
0:54 to 0:56 bro didn’t even care that he was tryna save lives
Plot convenience. I swear Peter needed saving this entire game as if he didn’t go through being Spider-Man for 8 years 🤦♂️
You know what this hasn’t even crossed my mind and it makes this game seem even more stupid 🤦♂️💀
brother this game has to be one of the worst spiderman stories plot wise
@@UltimodestructicoYou're acting like the game is stupid in the first place

This is why Peter needs to stay spider man, cuz he’s always there to help even when he is just trying to enjoy his life, like where TF was miles during all this? He could’ve helped to busy “cooling off”
Honestly, when he said "I'm sorry" I was expecting Miles to show up and lift the rollercoaster off of Peter.
Miles during 95% of the game : Pete needs my help , better drop everything and rush to help him
Miles during this one scene : 😴😴😴
Wasted opportunity on the writers part.
Being spiderman is a sacrifice, that's the job, that's what you signed up for.
@@blackman9291 I clearly said why he couldn’t have done it BEFORE the debris fell on him

Okay... hear me out.

1:37 It’s like Peter can already see the yearlong comicbook arc that’s gonna be more depressing than Daredevil

They nerfed him too much like wtf
Dude a 1 billion pound metal tower fell on him and he stopped it in its tracks, he wasn’t nerfed.
He just wasn’t trying to pull up the rollercoasters because everyone would fall out or the whole thing would break. He was stabilizing it so people could climb off it
How bruh
He could have done one or more of the following:
1) Web the other beams falling in his direction to keep them still and add integrity to the structure.
