Gil Hibben has a history of designing knives for Sylvester Stallone to feature in his films, going back to the Rambo III Bowie. Stallone commissioned Gil to make several knives to use in THE EXPENDABLES and THE EXPENDABLES 2. One of those was a custom-designed Bowie, the Legionnaire. The Legionnaire offers a 9 1/2" 7CR17 stainless steel blade with a mirror polished finish. The handle is constructed of black pakkawood and is accented with a mirror finished guard and pommel. Includes a classic leather belt sheath with stamped Hibben logo. 14 7/10" ov.

Actually Merriam-Webster online states otherwise. Their audio pronunciation states it the same way we do in the show. Although we have always believed that both pronunciations are correct depending on your geographical location as we mentioned back in one of our very first vBlog episodes aired August 10, 2011, marker 4:05.

So i just got this knife today and noticed the very minor gap between the blade and the top metal piece for the blade guard, i didnt really think it was much of it because it wasnt a problem at the time. but not its kind of loose and makes faint clanky noises when you wiggle it and it touches the blade. is there any easy fix to this or should i return it? to me its not to much of a big deal i just dont want it to loosen any further and possibly come completely loose. Any help would be welcomed:)
It's loose because its budk you'll never get true quality from budk my recommendation is to return it save up $300 and get a cold steel, I've had one of there Boise
And i have barely used the knife so im not sure why its already coming loose..

Jim Bowie's name is pronounced "BOO-EE" hence why the blade is most COMMONLY referred to with that particular enunciation, despite "BOW-EE" also being acceptable. I personally prefer the former over the latter, and actually never met anyone who thought differently, let alone believe there was only a singular way to pronounce it. Curious. Anyway, maybe next time you should check your facts before arbitrarily, and quite rudely I might add, judge others :)

Be a good pig sticker or knife for the offense/defense. Doesn't chop wood for nothing though so as a dependable survival knife, probably not so much. Probably not even full tang...
