I just retired too - last June 28. Ang sarap ng hindi nagiisip ng trabaho. Although we don’t plan on retiring in the Philippines, I would love to go back there and stay for a month in an area where no one knows know and live like a local.

What is a good amount to have in the bank to be comfortable in the PH? 20-30mil? Reason I am asking is my wife and I are planning to retire in 13years but I we won't be old enough to receive a US pension. We have to wait 12-15 years before we can file.

First and foremost we prayed where we should retire and God brought us here. The realtor and builder are good people. Magaan loob namin sa kanila. We've seen their works and nagandahan kami. It's in Luzon. Angeles is like Manila but not as busy. Houses are more affordable.

Dual na kami. US for check ups and medications and visit kids. Supplemental insurance here. Otherwise mura lang occasional doc visits dito
