    What do you think of the New Bashing PRO Line-up by Gens ace? With such a High C Rating these packs would be ideal for hardcore bashing and serious Speed runs! Its a shame the Vorteks didn't hit 60mph but its not the first time we are promised a speed on the box 😉 One thing i know for sure is that these packs provided the Vorteks with all the power it needed!

      @@beyondRC did they add anything significant in the chemistry to get 120C or thats just advertisement claims?? Because adding +20C to the c rating requires a fundamental chemical upgrade

    I know it's been a while but do you remember if you had it on 100% throttle and it you did full power bursts at all? Iv had 4 zeee 5200 80 c lipos which gave me 4mins 30 seconds on average per battery and that was tarmac and I was thrashing it.

    What is the difference between these basher pros and the standard basher. I ordered one that I realized was a standard one and I didn't realize that there was a pro until this video it is the 6800

  • @patmarcus172
    @patmarcus172 Před 3 lety

    Really interesting. I’d love to know what your LVC showed as ? If i get 10 mins on a 5600-6200 (140c turnigy rapid or 100c CNHL) lipo with our vorteks, I’m lucky. Also using the 18t on short grass. LVC kicks in at crazy high 3.8v.
    Plus, where in the uk can we get these from ?

    • @beyondRC
      @beyondRC  Před 3 lety

      Stuck it on the charger when i got home and lowest cell on 3.6v. I've made no adjustments to the ESC and as far as im aware you cant adjust it. I may be wrong but im pretty sure. I mean yeah i achieved 35 mins but i was taking it easy in a way with just the occasional full throttle burst on short grass.

    • @patmarcus172
      @patmarcus172 Před 3 lety

      @@beyondRC yeah. Quite right. Not adjustable on the firma 100a but mine resolutely kicks in at 3.8v, massively limiting run time on full power runs. I’d love to hear how long you get using the same Pro pack in your Granite. I get much better run times in my big rock using the blx100 esc with is lower LVC plus the stock 15t pinion (unlike the 18t stock vorteks pinion)

    I'm up to my third battery since April... Two are destroyed. I think my charger is faulty. Cell one always ends up lower voltage than the rest after balance charge by like .02v, and after usage cell 1 goes about .2v lower than the rest... Problem just gets worse and worse until eventually cell one starts dropping below 3.2v and no longer able to be picked up by charger. I can bring back to life with nimh charge but eventually I give up the battery because I can't be bothered. Wondering if anyone else has any problems with this battery? I really think my charger is faulty lol

    At $160 we should be punishing this battery. I don’t think a stock vortex will benefit from the extra 120C rating bcs it doesn’t pull that much current. This should be tested on an XLX2 bcs it uses an app that shows you charts of amp draw, current usage and bursts on your driving history. IMO 120C ratings is meant for BURSTS of power from stop & go ass apposed to straight running for run time. The high MAH rating in a lipo is what we want for longer run times and C rating is for short bursts of energy.

    £122 something it's a joke for a battery people need to stop paying it and allowing these companies to rip everyone off

    • @beyondRC
      @beyondRC  Před 3 lety +1

      The packs featured in this vid are £61 each mate? Maybe still a little expensive compared to some but they are much higher spec and capacity to the usual stuff we see. £122 correct if running 2 in series etc. Paying for quality fella
